I have to show up at the hospital at 6:30 in the morning. I guess I'm first. A very good thing. Maybe I'll be home by the afternoon. Sheila will let you know.

Hi, This is Roberta's friend Sheila. I just called the hospital. Roberta is out of surgery as well as recovery. She's with the nurse now discussng prescriptions and after care. According to the recovery room, everything went smoothly. She should be headed back home soon.

I'm home. Thanks, Sheila.

Things went. And I'm back home where I belong. My volunteer escort is now getting my pain prescription filled. Do I have pain? No. Will I have pain? Mebbe.

I was a pain in the ass (what else is new?). I refused to have the surgery if they gave me a general anesthetic. My surgeon was against it. I was adamant. I won. PIA are us.

Thanks for your care and concern. I don't know what I would do without you guys. You've gotten me through a lot!!! A buncha good kids.

Glad you're back home and that this part of the ordeal is behind you.

Hooray for being a PIA! It's your body and you should definitely have the final say about what you will allow to be done to it. It sounds like you haven't lost your edge. Wink

I hope you won't have too much developing pain or discomfort from the surgery, but it's good you'll have the pain meds in case you need them.

Thanks guys. I'm ok. Still no pain. What kind of meshugina surgery is this. Note: That was NOT a kvetch. Just a rumination.

I tried to sleep, but I'm too wound up. Tonight I will sleep majorly--I hope.

BTW: Someday if I have the stomach for it I'll tell you about the wire placement.

BTWPS: The resident doc showed up to check on me before anything started. She initialed my breast with ink. She returned later. I told her I didn't like being written on. She apologized. Said it was protocol. Protocol my ass.
