Surgery--Again

Eh minus.

Breathing a little better, but coughy and choky.

I think it may be too soon to have surgery. I see the throat docs on Friday. I will let them know how I feel and what I'm thinking.

oh.....have you been able to sleep?

So sorry for all this.

Yes, sleeping a lot. Once I get the noises in my chest under control. Sometimes the noises are so loud I can't sleep. But I've gotten plenty of sleep the last few days.

BP is normal again. I reduced the dosage of the medication I'm taking.

Not making phone calls and taking care of stuff I should be handling. I'll try to deal with things manana. One of the problems is that I'm sleeping so much that by the time I wake up, the places I need to reach are closed.

You gotta stay up to normal hours soon!

I've set my alarm clock a few times. I may try it tomorrow. I'll see how tired I am.

Made two phone calls.

One was a bust. Called the social worker at Bellevue to try to straighten things out.

Got a potential temporary stay with tax issues. Breathing a little easier.

Now I gotta schelp to the drug store to get a prescription. I'll have to pay cash. I'm also out of life staples--cookies and ice cream.

Not gonna snarl. Gonna go.

Pluses
1. Got some breathing room with the tax folks.
2. Finally straightened out the Medicaid problem (maybe).
3. My BP is normal.
4. I lost 23 pounds since the onset of the asthma. Too much in such a short time, but I wasn't trying. I just wasn't hungry.

Minus

1. Surgery next week.

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH! Thud.

Phew, phew, phew....damn.

The pluses outnumber the minus 4 to 1. That's a good ratio and it's a good looking list!

How 'bout you take the one minus and do a similar thing -- list out the pluses of doing it next week aagainst the minuses and see how they stack up?

DON'T NEED NO STEENKIN' BIOPSY!!

It had been my feeling that the doctor who ordered the biopsy was a tad overly enthusiastic. I saw the chief resident today. I told him that it was too soon after the asthma attack to have surgery. He agreed. Then he put the camera down my throat. Looked. Looked. And said there didn't appear to be any need for a biopsy. They would monitor me monthly.

BTW, I asked to be weighed. I didn't lose 23 pounds. I lost 13 pounds.

HURRAY!!!

Congrats seems a funny way to express it but Congrats! Anytime you don't have surgery is a good thing! Glad that things are heading the right way. Hope your breathing continues to improve, too.

Bring on the ice cream and chocolate!

Ordered from Fresh Direct (gift certificate). Chocolate cupcakes are on the menu. And they had Fudgesicles!!! Or as we say in Noo Yawk, Fudgicles. I've been missing them.

I will wait until to tomorrow to start snarling. What if the wrong doctor had been there? Doesn't matter now.

Ordered more than one luxury item from FreshDirect. I usually do one a month. This month I eat what I want.

Contacted the people I work for. Told them no biopsy. I got a job starting next week! Not working gets me lazy-brained.-----and poor.

Contacted a cousin. We'll have dinner next week.

I'm living again.

Problems ain't over, but right now I'm smiling. Can you tell?
