@sozobe,
Gregorians chanting. Fact is, I still hear it. Weird but true.

Breathing a little easier. Yes, I was out of breath when I turned over when I was trying to fall asleep. Maybe tonight I'll turn over and breathe easier. Took out the garbage. The walk to the incinerator room required some recovery time. Not a lot. Watered my plants. Had to do it in two shifts. Rested in between.

I've fallen hopelessly behind in my work. Don't know what I'm gonna do.

Right now I know exactly what I'm gonna do. Catch up here and then neb. I'll be hearing chanting.

Had to go shopping today. I was out of life staples--milk, Pepsi, ice cream.

Decided to get some sandwich makings. I've got bologna in the house, but I really don't want four bologna sandwiches in a row again. Got some ham. Love dem ham samwiches. Got some weird Italian bread.

The trip out of the building and to the market seemed doable. Breathing is better. The trip home--another story. Carrying stuff was not a good idea. Fortunately the doorman saw me and helped me. Still had to get the stuff from the elevator to my apartment. Required significant recovery time. Still better than yesterday.

I got better once before. This time it better stick. (Snarl)

@dlowan,
Nope, the chanting isn't the wheezing. And it's not the machinery. It's the sound that's made when I breathe into the machine. A humming, chanting sound that goes up and down when I inhale and exhale.

My peak flow meter says I'm breathing better, but it doesn't seem significantly better. Maybe I'm just tired. Working like a maniac.

I'll see you later in the week you fabulous wabbit you.

@Roberta,
How about an old fashioned remedy, Roberta. A Vicks Vaporizer.

@Letty,
For asthma?! Don't have a vaporizer. Don't have Vicks. I thought Vicks was for nasal congestion.

Thanks for the thought.

Sigh. I was a bit better. Now I've regressed a bit. Sigh. I'm gonna get out to meet Deb no matter what. Breathing be damned.

Running the nebulizer every four hours. Getting tired of Gregorian chanting. I wonder if I breathe fast whether I'll get some rock and roll. I'll give it shot.

@dlowan,
I had an entire day of feeling better. Don't want to be overly optimistic, but I can be a little optimistic.

Working like a maniac. Bleary-eyed but breathing.

@dlowan,
I'm breathing, I'm breathing. Feeling a bit better today. Went to the store. Didn't start panting until I was almost home. A great improvement.

I'm seeing the bunny tomorrow!

@Izzie,
Hiya Izziekins, I finished both jobs. One day late one each. Don't like to be late.

Physio appointment is soon.

Asthma is still a problem. Going to the asthma clinic soon.

Haven't recovered from Deb's visit. Ecstatic to meet da bunny. Happy to be part of the lunch. It occurred to me that I haven't been with a group of people in years. I enjoyed it immensely. Wish I coulda stayed longer, but I was exhausted. Somewhere Deb said that my getting to the boat was the equivalent of my running a marathon. She got that right.

I drew a picture of our dinner together. The picture was too big to be scanned. What's missing is a plane flying in and landing in NYC.

I drew the picture very quickly--at Bellevue. Didn't do Deb justice. She did have on a red scarf. She ordered a whole fish with a head. I asked the waitress to turn it around. I didn't want it staring at me. The brown sticks on the table are chopsticks. Not great depth to the picture. I just wanted to draw Deb and me together.

Love ya, kiddo.

@Roberta,
BOIDA Exclamation

Having seen the last pic and previous photos - your pic is the Wabbit... you've absolutely captured her Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation Exclamation She looks like she has a wry smile on her face.

Bloody mahvellous goil. LOVE THAT! Very Happy

Yep, being with a group of folk when your used to being "on own" can be challenging in the 'fatigued' sense... but I can hear it in your words how much it meant to you to meet people whom you haven't met before or seen for a while - and it will have done you the power of good to be part of that meet. You did so well getting oot and aboot. So so pleased for you that you had the energy to do it and know they will all have benefitted from meeting you - how could they not, pretty darn inspirational to meet "the Kvetching Boid", even if you wouldn't think so!

Glad you got the work done <better late than never a?> and even better that physio will be starting soon and they'll hopefully get those legs working as the ought to, or at the least... you'll be more mobile than you are at present.

How have the steroids been - are they making much of a difference to the asthma, increasing your appetite?

It's another unbelievably gorgeous day in the UK, tomorrow bodes well too - rains a comin' on Monday but hopefully Mame will get to see a little of Chez Iz and the moors for a few hours if it holds off for a little bit.

Love ya goil xxxx

@Izzie,
Iz, I don't know whether it's occurred to you but you have just a slight bias in your view of me. I ain't that terrific, and I doubt that anyone benefitted from meeting me, aside from getting some damned fine deli food.

The course of steroids was finished a while back. I think that's when I started going downhill again. I don't want to keep taking them. That's why I'm waiting to see the asthma doc. I'm managing.

Glad you're having a beautiful day. We've had so much rain here that I've been pondering building an ark. While I ponder, I noticed that moss is growing on my side that faces away from the window when I watch tv. Well, as you know, green is my favorite color.

Please give my best to Mame.
