Can you guess that things went well?

The MRI revealed a thickening in the area where the tumor was. Not to worry.

Two possible courses of action:

1. Have the area checked regularly and see what happens.
2. Something called a gamma knife procedures. It's a noninvasive, one-time radiation zap exactly on the trouble spot.

I'm ok with either course of treatment, but the first one is my favorite.

The doctor is meeting with some brain committee on Thursday. It includes my neurosurgeons and my neurologist. They'll be discussing my case. The doctor will call me with their decision.

Can't tell you what a weight has been lifted off me. I feel free. I'm getting stronger. I have more energy. I haven't felt this good since 2007. And nothing (at the moment) is hanging over me

Speaking of hanging, those of you who hung in here with me all this time are da best--and firmly planted in my heart. Oy, I shouldn't have heart problems.

I'm grateful to each of you beyond words. I ain't just talking. You people kept me going when the going was mighty tough. For days on end, you were my only human contact. I thank you from way deep down.

Now I'm gonna eat breakfast. Better late than never.

RH, No pigeons today. I wasn't at Bellevue. I'll give you an avian report when I go to Bellevue on Friday.

Thomas, love that wave.

Thanks all for the good wishes.

@Roberta,
Aren't MRI's and good news wonderful?!?!?!

I'm glad your body (and your spirit) is recovering from the tremendous battle it has undergone over the last couple of years.

BBB is now off the Coumadin and is also recovering some of her former strength. She says to tell you she's also kicking up her heels in celebration with you.

@Roberta,
Excellent!!!!

Re: option 2, my sister-in-law had that and it went great for her. (First brain surgery, then tumor regrew, then gamma knife after that, and tumor was kaput. That was about 10 years ago, still kaput. And the gamma knife procedure itself was evidently not a big deal. ). (Brain surgery: big deal. You may be aware of this. )

Is gamma knife the one where they shoot lasers in and triangulate on the tissue and then incinerate it? I think it sounds wonderful. But, it's new and therefore unproven, IMO.

Deb, I enjoyed dem Corn Flakes. Has some Oreos too. Gonna have to cut back on the Oreos. I gained four pounds. Phooey.

Butrflynet, Thanks for the good wishes from you and BBB. Glad to hear she's doing well.

osso, Gotta agree with marvelous. And I love that smiling kitten.

Yes, Bethie, great news. That Stuart Smalley sure had a way with woids. (Think I figured out why you were pondering my hair.)

Glad to hear that, soz. Sure beats daily blasts of radiation for six weeks--on my steenkin' brain fer God's sake

littlek, Soz's sister-in-law had it done ten years ago--if it's the same procedure. Can't be all that new. But frankly if it were invented yesterday, I'd do it in a heartbeat rather than have regular radiation. My favorite choice is keep an eye on things but leave me alone.

Should I ask what hahousive is, Izzie? Nah. I get the idea. Part of the energy I'm feeling is from the meds I'm taking for my thyroid. And part of it is that I'm just getting better. Love you too, kid.

Felt like drawing a picture tonight. It turned out to be a celebration.

I took a break from the crash rush project I've been working on. **** it. I'm relaxing today. I'll put my nose back to the grindstone manana.
