Great news, Boida! What do you think made the difference?

I can only guess. I suspect that it's a combination of things. Maybe the fuzzy-making med is finally out of my system. Maybe the new thyroid med is finally in my system. Maybe I was physically and emotionally exhausted and needed lots of sleep. Maybe aliens have invaded my body. Maybe I'm possessed. Quien sabe?

I have another job coming in later this week. Gonna take some free time between now and then to paint--water colors.

My therapist wants me to try putting some joy back in my life. I used to love to paint--oils. The fumes got to me. I don't like water color as much. They're less forgiving. But I'm gonna give it a try. I enjoy the colors.

Gonna continue cleaning--little bits at a time. I don't mean cleaning-cleaning. I mean sorting through and clearing out mountains of mess. It's gonna take a while but I'm gonna do it. Then I'll clean.

I'm as thrilled as everyone else to hear of your renewed energy, Roberta!

But if you start needing less than 7 hours of sleep per night, feel hyperactive and, well, more irritable than usual (haha), those are signs that your new thyroid prescription is too high.

@edgarblythe,
I like veggie tempura for a treat. Especially sweet potato.

Does it spread well for landscapes or portraits?

I found my old paints. Starting to feel tired. Not fall-down gotta-sleep-now tired. But definitely tired. Maybe yesterday was a combination of pseudonormal and excitement that I wasn't falling over.

Can't afford new paints, so I gotta use what I have. (Can't afford nuttin'.)

dys, Don't worry about my putting joy in my life. I'm impossible. Drive myself nuts. I'm fairly certain that I'll be frustrated with the painting. It won't look like I want to to--intolerable.

eva, You made me laugh out loud. More irritable than normal? How could I tell. Are there limits to my irritablility? Dunno. Haven't found them yet.

Bethie, I like veggie man. Beyond my abilities paintwise.

Edgar, Never tried tempera.

Eleven hours of sleep. Not tired now, but a bit disappointed. I'll see how I feel for the rest of the day.

Got my new project a couple of days early. Not exactly complete--more stuff to come. This means I'll have to go back. Annoying but not terrible. I'm paid by the hour.

Didn't start the painting. I was too tired last night.

Izconfused.com. Go back where goil? I'm missin something. Do you pick the work up - can they send over, do you have to do it there? Hmmm

You have time to paint... it'll come.

The sleep still sounds a little all over the place - your body's still adjusting to the change in meds. Then, when you feel good, you do some more than you normally would and feel a little energized, shocked even, and then a couple days later it can knock you again. The energy seems to have to self-balance itself. Frustrating for you.

You have done so incredibly well. I so wish we could see your video. You are a superstar. So proud for you at how far you've come.

2010.... it sounds a good year to me.... 2010.

Izzile, Almost all my editing is done in the computer. The publisher sends me files. I download them into the publisher's editing template. I do all my work from home.

Things that are in the form of hard copy (usually art and tables) are sent to my apartment via messenger.

I currently have the files for the ms but no hard copy for the art. When I get the art manuscript, I will have to go back over the chapters I've already edited to make sure that the art makes sense where it is. I also have to make sure it's cited and numbered correctly. Then I have to edit the art to make sure it matches the text and conforms to the style dictated by the publisher.

It's easier and faster to have the art and edit as I go.

As for painting, I started. I hated it. I'll start again.
