I find out about my throat on Wednesday.

I suspect that they don't want places to sit because people will loiter. There are hand rails on the ramps. I had my cane in one hand and the rail in the other. Didn't make breathing easier, but it made ascending with a bad knee easier.

@Roberta,
Boida...ahhh, little vexed for you right now querida, you sound tired girl.

Your last couple posts sound tired. Hardly surprising.

OK... tell me, do they have wheelchairs there at the hospital? (it was mentioned before..)

(yeah, I know, for me that's like a red rag to a bull... (believe me, Chi-town Joe and JPB know I how feel about needing help) - BUT - if you had someone assisting you - then at least you would not be using up so much energy.

I'm so glad that you are able to come off the anti siezure meds - and am hoping this will make a difference, along with the thyroid. You are like a walking pharmacy... know that feeling too.

My knee is sympathising with your knee right now, my left one, something has popped and it's swollen up and crunchy - I was kneeling down for too long doing some paperwork, you know, where you have about twenty different piles of it on the floor and you're shuffling the bills and the dross - I went to stand up and ...pop... I'm hobbling down the stairs right now. Anyhoo, gonna finish up my paperwork today and be uber proud of myself - there's crahhhp there since last July and I needed to get a bunch of things together for Monday. I will achieve today - that will be good.

So glad you got the job done and ... it's a start - with the med changes and hopefully more work to come in, and ... it's a start in the right direction. Know the appointment will be weighing heavily and you need to get that out the way, in a positive direction.

Always thinking of you, but you know that. love ya goil. x

@Izzie,
Of course there are wheelchairs at the hospital, Izzie. But the hospital doesn't provide pushers. Who's gonna push it for me every time I have to schlep to the back of the hospital and then return to the front and make my way up the ramp?

I take enough medication that I maintain that I rattle when I walk. I know you can relate to this.

Yes, I'm still very tired despite the fact that I stopped taking the antiseizure med. Probably the thyroid thing and STRESS. That tires me out.

So your knee popped and is swollen and crunchy. Oy. What's next, Izzie? Mine makes an occasional noise, but my greater concern is that the circulation in my legs is bad. To be checked soon. There's only so much I stand, and the doctor doesn't think it's an emergency.

Take care of yourself. No more popping and crunching. That's an order!!

I'm always thinking about you too. You're a good kid.
