Back from Bellevue. I had an EEG. The tech was a wonderful woman. It took a long time, but it was not an unpleasant experience.

Went to the pharmacy to try to straighten out the problem with my prescription. I'll know more on Friday.

Came home and the doorman told me that someone had left a package for me--a thoughtful package of turkey with cranberry sauce and gravy and two brownies. The someone is from a2k who just happened to be passing by. Don't feel comfortable mentioning names, but I'd be happy to give credit where credit is due if I'm permitted. A major good kid.

The stomach upset was gone by Saturday. Sorry I haven't been more talky. Just the same old worries about money (and those who are after me because of it) and health. Sometimes I bore myself with this stuff. I'm still fuzzy, although I did use the word "exacerbate" in a conversation with my therapist last week. I'm thinking I might be ready to try working again--if I can stay awake long enough to get anything done.

Sorry if I caused concern. I'm just rotten to the core.

The turkey was delicious, like real turkey--dark and white meat. Moist. The gravy was thick and rich and tasty. Delicious also.

I'm saving the brownie for later.

During the EEG, I decided to experiment. I thought about nice things part of the time and not so nice things another part of the time. After the test was over, I told the tech what I did and asked if the test could pick up that kind of stuff. She said no. Oh, well. At least half the time I had nice thoughts.

Do I have to explain obnoxious..

The brownie smelled and tasted homemade!!! (Thud). Delicious. Also enormous. I couldn't finish one. It wasn't for lack of trying.

Feeling satisfied foodwise and friendwise.

Hey Roger, you curmudgeon you. My good thoughts were good thoughts. I made 'em up. The bad thoughts were not fiction.

Osso, I make no claims to being obnoxious. Just rotten.

@Roberta,
It's OK, Roberta.
I'm sorry you're feeling so low, but understand perfectly why. You're just sick of all this. I just wish I could actually do something useful to help, that's all.

That was a very kind & thoughtful package leaver! I agree. A major good kid. Smile

Had more turkey, gravy, and cranberry sauce. Also had more brownie. Enough brownie left for tomorrow. Enough turkey left for a sandwich. Not sure I can eat a sandwich. I can't open my mouth wide, but I'm going to give it a try.

I had to fill out a form today. Struggled with comprehension. Tomorrow I must make a call that is making me so nervous, I'm nauseous.

Otherwise nothing is new.

Nope.

If I cut the samwich with a knife and fork, the width is not diminished. I have to nibble the food off the fork. There's also the absence of samwich enjoyment. I might as well throw the turkey on a plate with a slice of bread of the side.

I managed to eat a hamburger on a bun by smooshing everything down. Gonna give it a try, although turkey is less smooshable than ground beef. I'm undaunted!!! I'm gonna have the steenkin' samwich.

Can't make the call until later. I'm a noivous wreck. But again, undaunted. I'll aim for the write numbers on the phone and forge ahead. (I lied. I'm daunted like crazy. But I'm gonna make the call anyway.)

@Roberta,
I sympathize about the call and the noivessness.

On the sandwich, I trust you've already though of this, but in my effort to eat somewhat less carbohydrates - one of my favorites of those being good bread - I am eating more and more open faced sandwiches, just one slice of bread with meat/whatever on top of it. This can get tricky if you have things on the one slice that might want to move around, thus requiring that they be held down by the meat.

Phone call: I'm on hold. I've been on hold for a while. I will be on hold for a considerable bit longer. Not bad music.

osso, I've tried open-faced samwiches. Not the true samwich experience, but it may be the way to go.
