@Roberta,
I'd ask you how Friday's appointments went, Roberta, but I get the impression you'd prefer to leave it for now, so ....

Yes, a small editing job might be the go! (Assuming that your vision has improved since you last mentioned it.)

Anyway, I hope you're relaxing/sleeping right now. It's a bit after 2 pm Sunday here, so if I subtract around 12 hours (I think that's about right?) you'd be into the small hours of Sunday morning. Fast asleep, most likely.

Here's wishing you a much less fuzzy Sunday! Smile

olga, The early hours of the morning are when you can be sure I'm awake. I'm usually up all night.

Decided to take a brief nap before I went to the supermarket. I woke up four hours later. A day without Oreos. Shocked I'll go tomorrow.

I agree, Edgar, that work might be good for me. But I'm reluctant to take on something I'm not sure I can do. I'll talk to one of my friends at the company I do most of my work for and see if something small and simple is around.

Geared up all my nerve and heart and washed my hair tonight. Way too long without a clean head. I was afraid to touch anything. Not allowed to use shampoo. Did it. Clean head. Smile

That was my excitement for the day. I know you're all green with envy. Dat Noo Yawk goil leads such an exciting life.

@Roberta,
G'day. I hope you're having a good sleep this morning.

Up here it promises to be bright and sunny, even though the weather folks said it would be foggy and grey. Ha! to them. Put a nice soft hat on your clean head, wrap a scarf round your neck, and go get a couple or a dozen Oreos when you wake up.

It sounds like it's awfully hard not feeling as sharp as you're used to, even though you're still way sharper << ouch >> than the majority of the world around you. I hope the foggy bits clear up as the various meds work their way out of your system.

Hugs from the bright blue North!

Back from my shopping expedition. Got a delivery. Stocked up. Pepsi and tons of other stuff. The Oreo situation was not poifect. Out of the originals, I had to settle for the double stuffed kind. Don't like 'em. Why? Too much steenkin' stuff.

Dem hats make my head sweat. And the blue hat I've been wearing blocks part of my vision. I may try switching to scarves. I've already tried scarves. Too tight. I'm gonna try again.

Tired of being tired. And always glad to hear from you guys.

I wholeheartedly agree! What's you position on chocolate covered Oreo's? Inquiring minds need to know! Most wonderful thing to ever happen to the Oreo is the white chocolate covered Oreo!

@Roberta,
Hi, Robbie. Glad you got that shopping stuff, even with less than optimal Oreos.

I have glare trouble now with one of my eyes, another story, and so I made some purchases on my California trip - a pair of sunglasses that really work, about ten dollars at CVS, and a hat from Venice Beach so I could deal with super sunshine - Venice Beach is my home and I was going to walk it, dadgummit. November is not primo hat season at the beach walk so it took my niece and me several stores to pick out the right one. It's very flexible.. the good part is is shades my eyes. The bad part is it shades my eyes if I'm not walking into glare, thus, I flip the front brim under the hat part for that part of a walk. This is new, where is the Sartorialist now that I need him - beats the backward baseball cap look, and I'm the first to parade this way...

Can you do scarves with bobby pins?

@Roberta,
You can pop the front brim of the blue bucket hat up - use a pin to keep it up. Or switch to one of the other light-weight hats.

Double-stuffed, yup, not optimal. Too much stuff.

Pepsi on board. That's good.

Have a good evening, Miss Girl.

I'm essentially a purist and an old-fashioned girl in the Oreo department. I like the originals. I confess I haven't tried the chocolate covered variety. I might give those a shot. As for white chocolate, I confess I'm not a fan. Might try 'em though, if I see 'em--on your say-so.

osso, Glad you found sunglasses that work mostly. Can't use a bobby-pin with a scarf. No hair for the pin to stick to.

Bethie, I've scrounged through the other hats. Most have something that grips the head. Result: pain.

Growing some head fuzz. Now I'm fuzzy in two ways. Mind fuzz and scalp fuzz. If I start fuzzing up anywhere else, I'll let you know.

You might like my lame-0 black hat. Wrongly sloppy, I wouldn't choose it, but it was the best hat there,

Hey, Roberta, be assertive. The world of hats is not up to your comments at this point. Tell them.

Hats are just a worldwide mechanism. Hats need input from people who need them. You, certainly, and me too.

@ossobuco,
I figured that since she's a resident New Yorker, I'm wondering how she feels about the Boston Red Sox. Hopefully, she isn't a New York Yankees fan. Wink Now, if she's a New York Mets fan or a fan of the former Brooklyn Dodgers?

Besides that cap looks rather comfortable. Very Happy

Hat: I need a hat because I had brain surgery and part of my head was shaved. However, it has to be loose, or it will hurt.

Baseball: Kiddo, are you barking up the wrong Noo Yawker. I was born in the Bronx and lived within hearing distance of Yankee Stadium. I saw the stadium every day of my life, and I went there on Ladies' Days when I was a teenager.

I love Boston. A wonderful city. But it's baseball team is its business. I got my team in my home town. If you scroll back on this thread to when the World Series was taking place, you'll see a euphoric (and fuzzy) person.

@Roberta,
I humbly bow down to a true and faithful Yankees fan. You won't be getting any fighting words from this expatriated Red Sox fan. My sincere congratulations to the Yankees and their World Series Championship! Smile

Not as colorful ...

Then I'm a boy with no fashion sense. Maybe I shouldn't try to suggest anymore hat or hat based accessories. Neutral

As a kid in California, I became a lifelong Yankees fan. What was not to like? Mickey Mantle, Yogi and the rest of those great guys. We had only radio, but did not listen to sports, except Joe Louis boxing matches. Consequently, the only pro baseball I ever heard about involved the Yankees/Dodgers (both NY teams)rivalry. The only exception was mention of Willie Mayes, of the San Francisco team. It gets in the blood, eventually.

@Roberta,
So we're back to finding suitable hats. I'll have to think on this & see what I can come up with.

Hi Roberta. It's late & I just got in. Just saying g'day & how's it going before I head off to bed.
