Surgery--Again

@Roberta,
Likely you're all stiff from the rigidity of the surgery?

Or...remember with my disk, I got that whole of body pain thing...? Apparently sometimes your body goes out in sympathy. Also, I imagine your poor brain is a bit swollen, inflamed, insulted and generally discombobulated, which would affect everything.

Was there any specific SORT of pain, or other symptoms, you were told to be concerned about?

@Roberta,
Really sorry about how you're feeling today, Roberta.

I hope you're resting now & that this helps ease the pain a little bit, at least.

Chocolate cake sounds good. Yes! Smile

Now, take the advice you've got, Roberta! (Hoping that you already feel better by now.)

Managed to get to level 16 of my word game. Over 200,000 points. Not so stupid.

I've been sleeping on and off all day. Trying to get back to my normal routine. Up all night.

Not gonna work. I'm going to sleep before sunrise.

I'd better feel better tomorrow. Getting up from the couch is becoming a major problem. I can get up from other places, but the couch remains a challenge.

I did not expect to feel wonderful after brain surgery. I've certainly had enough experience with other kinds of surgery to know that the aftermath is difficult.

I say fie (among other things).

Hey Bellevue doctors. The next time you want to drill a hole in somebody's head, find another brain.

Bon soir mes amis.

I took a nap and missed two calls from Thomas. He's around somewhere. My shower chair was delivered.

I'm not sure how I'm feeling today. Haven't been awake enough to know. Still have head pain and back pain. Jaw pain and teeth pain.

Looking forward to a visit from Mr. T, but not feeling exactly social. It's always good to see Thomas. Always.

Did your doctors say how long these sorts of pains might last after surgery?

Another question: how was the chocolate cake?

@msolga,
No, olga, I got no indication as to how long various pains would last.

The chocolate cake was good, not great. But satifsying.

I'll have more of the dinner I ordered tonight, and I'll finish it tomorrow.

@Roberta,
Ah, so I guess, just keep resting & sleeping as much as you need to & wait, as patiently as possible, for the pain to lessen, day by day ....

It's Tuesday morning here, so I'm thinking: it's tomorrow when the nurse visits you to check on your progress?

Better good than completely tasteless, I say. Smile

Thomas and his sister Dorothy just left. Thomas arrived with pharmacy supplies and some goodies from up north. I'll look later.

I was insufficiently scary for Halloween. Frankenstein scars just don't cut it anymore.

Dorothy is lovely.

I'm gonna get comfortable for the evening. Well, as comfortable as I can be.

Dorothy and Thomas met Lucy. My new cat toy. Lucy behaved. And she calls herself a cat. Heh!

@Roberta,
You have a cat!

That's maaaaaaaaaaahvelous! You know they help with healing, right? The purring -- good stuff. (Helps with bone density too.)
