Saw Roberta again this afternoon. Forget what I said about that 9 hour surgery. Evidently the nurse didn't know the whole story. Doctor told Roberta that the surgery itself only lasted 4 HOURS (still a long time.) Our friend has a headache, but was getting pain pills when I left. She's talking about getting food into the house for her discharge--but no word yet as to when that will be. Reading all your posts puts a big smile on her face. Thanks for the invitation to stick around. I just may do that.
