Surgery--Again

Oh Boida - so sorry for the all financial complications. I actually wish the surgery just over and done with for you so you don't have to think about it. The financial stuff - well goil, I know you're tired and all that and it's draining, hibernation sounds pretty good right now...

but muster up all the strength you have and go hunt some folk down, roar as loudly as you can and demand the help you need.

I just spoke with the surgeon. I go into the hospital on Sunday morning. The surgery will be Monday morning. Oy.

All right. Gearing back up in to surgery vibe mode.....

Bethie, I would dearly love to be in the midst of those kitties right now. I like the one with his tongue sticking out. I always was attracted to trouble-makers.

Olga, What needs to be done? Everything. Still haven't gotten hats. I looked but couldn't find what I wanted. I still have financial issues to deal with (not the current crisis--other issues). Dealing with a recalcitrant idiot about the crisis and hoping it will be resolved before they drill a hole in my head.

No time really to regear up. Just gonna show up and get this done. I don't have to go into the hospital a day early because most of the tests they were gonna do, they did for the adrenal thing. I'm extra worried about asthmatic difficulties (a problem when I've had surgery) and my throat, which is still swollen from the radiation. I expressed both concerns to the doctor.

Wondering whether I should sneak Oreos into the hospital. Going cold turkey could be a challenge. Aaaaargh!

What, if anything, do your doctors say about the desirability (or otherwise) of Oreos? You should ask. Comfort is comfort, I say! Why deny yourself if you don't have to?

About the hat situation.: perhaps a few hastily-bought scarves, as you can't find suitable hats? Best to be prepared.

I have nine zillion four hundred and twenty-three billion two hundred twenty-nine million eight hundred and sixty three thousand seven hundred thirty-two scarves--give or take a million. I just have to remember where they are.

I did not discuss Oreo eating with the doctor. Strange as it may seem, the subject didn't come up. If I decide to bring Oreos with me, I'll ask if I can eat them. If I don't, I won't.
