At the pool today.

8 year old boy in the water (in the bright sun) looks at his 12 year old sister sister sitting in the shade a few feet away.

He says "In the shade you skin looks kinda blue"
She replies "Like a dragon? That would be so cool to look like a dragon."

Him...."Yeah well, looking like a dragon and acting like one are two different things"



That wasn't a smile from me, that was a guffaw.

The new receptionist at the hair salon was able to calculate 20% tip on $75 dollar service. I usually have to do it for them, that made me smile and gave me hope for the future.
