Sean Wilentz, a professor of history at Princeton, did an informative interview with Terry Gross today. He related the Tea Party to the John Birch Society. His comments on Goldwater, Buckley, Beck, et al., were eye-opening and frightening.

I'm not counting anything until it hatches and even then I will not count it. This election has me frightened. Some of the worst candidates in history are running.

Fear not, some of the worst elected officials will be replaced with fresh blood in a few weeks.

The country will bid farewell to a large number of liberal democrats.

I know that o'donnell was the town pump before she found Christ (poor Christ! He is still running from her!) and that sarah palin's a bit of a bimbo and demonstrably a bad mother, while sharon engle is an idiot and jan brewer a coward, but, I had no idea they are vampires! Wow! Fresh blood everywhere?
