dys, if you look with expedia, they have a flight roundtrip ABQ to SFO
for $ 291. You'll arrive in SFO around 9 am and leave SFO again at
6:30 pm. That's what I do too.

I ain't doing that again. CJ, on the other hand I would drive another 1,000 miles (would she show up?)

All this positive reinforcement is going to my head! Osso has forgiven me (I think): why can't you? Besides it was a long time ago, I lived on the East Coast then, and I had the flu - goddamnit!
I checked a while ago, on a whim. It would kill me to go to that city I love for just a day, given the time to get there from here and the rarity of my making the trip (plus I could meet other bay area friends) - so I looked at hotel and flight combos. Not bad at all; there are some hotels listed at the low/middling end that I know are ok.. that I could get by at $650 for 3 nights + flight. Out of my budget now, but I'm hopeful for next spring or summer.
But, the good news is that the total amounts didn't shock me.

i signed up for price alerts, but so far i don't see anything under $400... plus there would be hotel and such.... if i could fit everything in under 500, i might consider it....but that's unlikely.
I'm staying at a B&B close to town for $79 a night. Not bad!

flight is a red-eye though...
i had to pay my health insurance this month and university fees....so it's kinda tough to fork out $500....i'd have to credit card it, which I hate....
...but i'll think about it. we'll see how spontanneous i feel.
(now you'll get me looking for Boston flight and hotel packages... I need no excuse, I should have been a travel planner. Of course then I'd hate doing it.)
