Psychic spies from China
Try to steal your mind's elation
Little girls from Sweden
Dream of silver screen quotations
And if you want these kind of dreams
It's Californication

It's the edge of the world
And all of western civilization
The sun may rise in the East
At least it settles in the final location
It's understood that Hollywood
sells Californication

Pay your surgeon very well
To break the spell of aging
Celebrity skin is this your chin
Or is that war your waging

[Chorus:]
First born unicorn
Hard core soft porn
Dream of Californication
Dream of Californication

Marry me girl be my fairy to the world
Be my very own constellation
A teenage bride with a baby inside
Getting high on information
And buy me a star on the boulevard
It's Californication

Space may be the final frontier
But it's made in a Hollywood basement
Cobain can you hear the spheres
Singing songs off station to station
And Alderon's not far away
It's Californication

Born and raised by those who praise
Control of population everybody's been there
and
I don't mean on vacation

[Chorus]

Destruction leads to a very rough road
But it also breeds creation
And earthquakes are to a girl's guitar
They're just another good vibration
And tidal waves couldn't save the world
From Californication

Pay your surgeon very well
To break the spell of aging
Sicker than the rest
There is no test
But this is what you're craving

Get lost northern Cal sissy!

Actually, Monterrey and Carmel are beautiful, but the weather.......no, no.

How nice for them.

SC is on the north end of Monterey Bay, though -- much sunnier, especially in the summer.

And there ain't no redwoods in SD.

Since I was born and raised in Oceanside, and spent my high school years in Ramona,I am forced to agree with you.

I especially like the Gaslamp District, behind? Horton Plaza.
Its nice since they cleaned it up.

I've got family in Carpinteria. I spent a summer there when I was -- what? -- 12, I think. Five minute walk from the beach. Spent the entire time there out on a boogie board. Great place.

It's very true. And good stuff comes pretty easy out there. My family there have avocado trees that make 2 or 3 hundred excellent avocados every year. They give them away to people in boxes, they've got so many. I miss those damn avocados.

Mashed up with good fresh lime juice and overripe roma tomatoes and white onions chopped to slush and a slosh of chalula with hot corn tortillas and beans and rice within sniff of the beach between shots of Hornitos and bottles of henry's waiting for the tuna and chicken and cheap steak on skewers on the barbecue to char up right in the breeze that rushes out toward the ocean...

I think Gunga's post has backfired on him. We are all seeing the beauty and splendor that is California.
