I'm a regular... I hope... and I'm ready for my coffee, please. Could I have it a double shot of espresso in a tiny cup and can we open a window so I can see the Mediterranean? It is a little chilly here in the real world this morning and I'd like a warmer view.
Could it be ... ahem.... someone we know..... who butters his bread to the very, absolute edges???
No, darlin', i t'ink it could be, however, a smallish, determined little girl livin' in Kingston, Ontario some years ago who absolutely will not eat any bread upon which the butter has not been spread to the edges . . .
Aha. Well, she is a little dove of the north, is she not?
An' not be thwarted in important matters such as food preparation . . .
or choice of home... as I recall...
Ah, but she didn't get her way in that matter . . .
In the end.
And she has her way with bread now (tee hee)?
If she butters it herself, i'm sure she does . . .
Oh my, to be a little fly on the wall listening to THAT conversation...
Oiled up and raring to go.
Go home,that is.
Falling into the end of this conversation and finding it high in oddosity.
You could use the thread for a short story perhaps?
I´ll be studying Lolas Salon soon blatham as I read some of your writing and it´s RIGHT up my street.
Well, Lola is up and in need of some strong coffee. And a bagel, maybe, with cream cheese and raspberry jam. Blatham, I believe was complimenting the denizens of this fine establishment. I much prefer oddosity over almost anything else. So please, before my head hits the table in front of me, coooooffffeeeee.....
And Hebba, you're welcome any time at the Salon.
Now that I reread the pancakes line, I think I'm gonna make pancakes this AM (I only have myself to blame). But alas I don't think we have that many blueberries.
Declan, lad, can ya pop over to O'Callaghan's and get some blueberries!?! And don't be all day about it, laddie!
That Declan, always trying to flirt with the O'Callaghan's counter girl! What a rake!
you are sooooooooo wrong about the butteree.
I'm fascinated...
In school I once watched a girl butter a corn bread square. She buttered the top, then the sides, then the bottom. With each bite, she buttered the new, unbuttered part. My eyes were bugging out, I'm sure!
that sounds like a good way to treat corn bread. hmmmmmmmmm
i wonder if there's any martha white corn bread mix hangin' around back here.
