Congratulations, my dear Lola!!!!!
How wonderful baby girls are,
my youngest grandbaby is a girl
named Madison, she is about 18
months now, born under the same
birth sign as HER MOM Laughing
There IS justice, or karma or
whatever you care to call it; I
can already see this amazingly
strongwilled 18 month old toddler
beginning to drive mommy nuts.

If there is any champagne left, and if anyone is still standing, I've brought some tangerine orange juice, extra-chewy tranna bagels, and cream cheese from Mendel's creamery (regular and smoked salmon with dill).

Champagne with oj, and bagels with cream cheese - what a way to celebrate!

Geez Lola, You look way too young to be a gramma! Congratulations to you and the new parents. Mothers and children are a wonderful combination.

And in the deep night
I felt my mother rise,
And stare down upon me
With love in her eyes.

Thanks Piffka, very nice of you. But I'm plenty old enough......however, this daughter had a sixteen year old mother (me.) But that was, I admit, 39 years ago. She also has a 16 year old son. And he's a very handsome young man too. But he calls me Mimi, as will the new baby girl. I'll never be ready to be called Granny.

Still serving champagne for all. Enjoy!

Hmm all this talk of children and champagne makes me feel about ready to tell all that I am to be a father myself in March.Should I wait with the bubbly or drink as much as is physically possible while I have the chance?

Congratulations, Hebba. My first child, Jane, was born March 24th... it was a wonderful time to have a baby. Your wife won't have to be pregnant through the spring and summer and the baby won't have to so small during the worst of the winter. Good going!!!

The only drawback is that instead of teddy bears the little one is likely to get a lot of stuffed rabbits... Easter being so close.

No drawback to bunnies instead of bears - i got my first teddy bear for Valentine's this year. I grew up with a stuffed bunny and monkey and things seem to have worked out all right.

I'll shout a round for the new dad-to-be.

Good going, Hebba! My middle daughter's stuffed friend was an orange bunny and he now sits in my closet, in an honored place.
