Within the past couple of weeks, I read some article about it being possible to get too much calcium. Now they tell me.

Ah, here it is, speaking of disheartening. Sob! My chocolate milk!!

Osso- Oh joy, oh happiness. Here I thought that the calcium that I take would prevent having hip fractures. Probably because of my walking, my bones are stronger than the norm for my age.

So here I will be, with a sturdy frame, and a brain of a blithering idiot! Rolling Eyes

Damn. Two days and counting until I see my cardiologist. Today I had a very mild case of indigestion. Normally, I would just let it pass, but now I am thinking all kinds of miserable thoughts. It's amazing how the mind can make you crazy! Evil or Very Mad

Phoenix--

One of the damnable aspects of going gray is that you're forced to focus on unpleasant phenomena rather than ignoring them.

I resent being a Woman With Symptoms, don't you?

Phoenix--

I'm planning to be a dairy cow on an old fashioned, no hormone farm. All my calves would be daughters and once a year I'd get trucked to the County Fair for my new blue ribbon.

High levels of calcium may lead to kidney stones, a fact well recongized in all ERs.

Miller- But what can be considered "high"? I take a calcium supplement (600 mg.) I have some milk at breakfast, maybe a cheese stick once in awhile. Every so often I will have ice cream, maybe once a week. I am sure that I am getting calcium through other foods, but those amounts would be minor.

At what point could a person say that he was absorbing excessive calcium?

Well how about that! It was a false alarm. Saw the cardiologist this morning, and he thinks I'm strong as a horse. Passed both the stress test and the echo with flying colors!

Phoenix--

Wonderful.

Now you can moderate all that laborious self-limitation that you adopted for your own good.

Great news, Phoenix! Truly great. Did you feel the tension leave your body? Relax--and maybe celebrate?

Great news Phoenix! Congrats. But I have one question.

How the heck do you get "trigger finger" in your thumb?

There is a way that I describe the condition, that if I don't explain it to people first, they think that I am dissing them. I take my thumb and index finger of one hand and make it into a tight circle. I push the index finger of the other hand through the circle.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys! We went out to eat, and I celebrated at the jewelry store! Very Happy
