I started off using lava soil instead of shampoo.
Did this for about a year, then got fed up with the hassle and started using baby shampoo.
By then my hair seemed to have adjusted to being washed less frequently...
Who mentioned blow drying?
I never used to do this anyway and still don't.
(Well, maybe twice a year, when I'm in a hurry!)
