Why would we want to see that (cat squashed in a glass) on this thread? This thread is for people who like & admire cats, or have something interesting to say about them .... or hadn't you noticed? You are not one. This could explain why you're bored with the content here. But why are you boring us with this sort of rubbish? Plenty of other places where they'd think it's the height of cleverness! Rolling Eyes

Sally
In a previous post, I wrote that I bought a cage for Sally on Wednesday because she poops on the floor right next to the litter box. She pees in the box, but poops on the floor. I don't understand her . . . but she needs to be completely litter box trained. I had to contain her until that mission was accomplished. She wasn't happy with the cage.

I pushed a big litter box with a cover up against the open cage door to block the opening. I weighed the litter box down with heavy encyclopedias so she couldn't push it away. There was a little gap around the covered litter box and cage door opening, so I stuffed a big thick towel around to close the gap.

On Thursday morning, when I awoke, Sally was laying on my bed. The little escape artist worked until she got the towel loose and squeezed through a gap. LOL

WELL . . . I moved her litter box into the bedroom (where she likes to hang out most of the day -- lounging on Mommy's and Daddy's bed). But, I prepared it special for her . . . litter on the bottom with a thick layer of torn up newspaper on the top. I did this because I was throwing down newspaper all around her other litter box in order to protect the carpet. It wasn't effective because she would usually poopie on the carpet and then use the newspaper to try and cover it up.

It has been three days now, and she has used her specially prepared litter box every time. No messes on the floor. It's not as easy to scoop a box with litter and newspaper . . . but it's a heck of a lot easier than getting down on my hands and knees everyday to scrub the carpet!!!!

[KNOCK ON WOOD . . . Sally's litter box problem may be solved.

My cat is covering its head in a cute way. (That simple line is my way of bookmarking this thread.)

Back on topic...

I do breakfast in the house. Although I'm still half asleep when I get to the kitchen, you-know-who is there to hint as to who gets breakfast first.

Here's a glimpse of the hint I get.

Hi All,

I'm returning from a computer crash. Glad to be back in cyberland again. Also glad to see so many new posters here in the cat thread.

msolga, glad that Flats is sneezing less. I also second what you said to cjhsa.

Debra, congrats on the litter triumph.

Mikey is fine. He spent the seven and a half hours that the computer guy was here hidden in the closet. Shy for such a big guy.

Welcome, neko! (I'm not sure if you've been here before....)

Oh, I KNOW that look! And no prizes for guessing who gets fed first! Laughing
A lovely photograph of the comely Neko Chan. Very Happy She'd been waiting for you & breakfsat for some time, I can see! I can't get over the very striking resemblence to my dear departed Mozzie-cat! Even the expression is the same. Smile

Seven & a half hours with the computer technician! Surprised That must have been a biggie! And Mikey hid the whole time? It must have been an enormous relief to get the damn computer working again & Mikey out of the cupboard!

Sorry msolga and Vivien. I see nothing naughty or wicked. Just a very intense cat being a cat. Did I mention intense?
