I think Flatty had delusions of being Mikey or Possum this morning ... I was sitting on the grass with him while he did his flip-flops in the sun. (you know, rolling happily from side to side, catching rays & being a lovable pussy cat ...) Then he suddenly began furiously flicking his tail & attempting to clash my hand. THEN, as I was walking away from him in disgust, he charged at my foot, from behind! Shocked Then a second time .... Left me scratching my head & wondering what on earth had gotten into him. Confused

What's gotten into that Flat Cat today? Confused Now (at just past 10 pm) he's shrieking plaintively at the window near where I'm sitting at the computer ... apparently he thinks he's locked out of the house. He's just a few feet away from the cat door which he uses every day. Maybe he's been into the catnip, or something?

Rosie's been doing a Mikey this morning - I decided to comb her when she didn't want me to - tooth and claw were used to let me know and language like you've never heard! She's been bopped and sent off but is totally unabashed. She's in a wild and playful mood and keeps stalking the poor birds in the garden. I think she may have to have a collar with a bell.

She'll be in soon, tired and ready for a cuddle Rolling Eyes

Vivien

Do you think they've been secretly reading Roberta's Mikey stories on this thread & have decided to emulate his behavior?

Such a naughty, naughty cat, that Mikey! Very Happy

It's good to hear that Rosie is doing so well & has gained so much confidence. A far cry from the timid little critter in your earliest photographs. Very Happy

yes - she's still a real scaredy cat when she's outside though. She prefers us to be out with her and scrabbles at the door to come back in within minutes if she's left out alone with the door shut.

Voices, aeroplanes passing, gusts of wind - anything! sends her flying back indoors.

I had thought that with being feral she might grow up to be a very outdoor cat - the kind that only comes in to eat and sleep.

She's very demanding when she wants attention - biting my toes is the usual means of communication - it can mean either 'I want to play' or 'I want a cuddle' - nothing as simple as just climbing onto my knee Crying or Very sad

Aw, poor little Rosie must have had a very rough time of it prior to meeting you, Vivien. I've said it before: what a fantastic piece of luck for her to have found such a perfect, loving home. May she grow into a little terror! Laughing

A good Sunnyday morning to all of you poor, deluded victims of the world-wide cat plot. I hope you are all having a good day, and that your feline warders don't impose on you too much today.

What's this? Casting aspersions on my beloved feline? Is any and all cat misbehavior now part of the vernacular as pulling a Mikey?

I'm so proud.

Mikey has been, well, Mikey now that he's recovered from all the new stuff in his domain. He's currently vandalizing my work area. Thud. He's knocked something on the floor. Clatter. Something else on the floor. Before I resume work, I must spend some time picking up what's fallen. At least he hasn't attempted to eat the manuscript. But he did eat a bug a little while ago. What a barbarian. Yuck.

Glad to see all the other felines are in fine fettle.

Laughing Impose, impose? Fat chance! It's what they're imposing on the warders that's cause for concern!

Yes they are all wonderful to me. Carlotta, my cat and Bean the dog have other ideas about them though.

It is like T.S.Elliot here there are so many different flavors of cats.
