Lacey finally went home, after two weeks!

The two weeks she was here, my grandchildren ages 2 and 5 happened to be here too, so Lacey and Paddy confined themselves to my closet most of the time. The rest of the time they were hiding out behind my bed and in a box. The poor little tykes were petrified of the two year old. He only wanted to play with them, but the kitties didn't know that.

Rae picked up Lacey the day before the kids left, and now Paddy can finally relax, he has his kingdom back!

Yah just gotta love cats!

Hiya Ma!

Lacey is very happy to be back home ~ the first night she was physically attached to me.....would not leave my side.....ended up sleeping on my hip all night.

I took a nap this evening after work ~ and didn't get much sleep because she came to check on me every five minutes or so and was not satisfied until I said something to her.

Right now she is draped over my desk, leaving me just enough room to type.....purring away.....

Awwwwwwwwwww my little angel Lacey, I miss her! She's such a little delicate darling, and so no trouble. She's just happy being outside keeping guard over the kingdom!

Thanks for letting me have her Rae, I just love it!

You're welcome, Ma. Now that the evil children (yes, I'm kidding) are gone, we'll arrange for a more sociable babysitting experience soon.

I was in the dog-house yesterday though.....She met me at the door after work and let me have it! I've lived here for six months now and pest control is supposedly a monthly service, but yesterday I actually had proof because their card was left on my kitchen table. For the first time.

Lacey was NOT happy! And she let me know it! She finally calmed down after I laid on the floor right next to her and scratched her belly until she fell asleep.

Poor thing! Crying or Very sad

Lacey probably didn't want the pests controlled Rae ... after all, she has such a good time chasing them!

Hope she's better now:)

Paddy is here washing himself, and rolling around which he does when he's happy!

Liam and Sadie sent me a drawing of my condo. this evening, and a very good drawing it was!

How is our young working man?

After a chore-filled day, Lacey is finally quiet. When 5:30 p.m. rolled around and her dinner wasn't in her food bowl I thought she was going to drop dead right there on the spot! Ohmygawd! How can such a little thing be so loud? Shocked

That's a cat for you. I was away for a week, and they loved me when I got back. Two of them have ignored me for years; not they can't get enough of me. Cats seem to need a little uncertainty in their lives, too.

Well, Roger, how are you? Good to see you here, as always!

I was home most of the day but had to run out for a bit ... Paddy lay across the rug by the front door, yacking and acting it out and telling me off in no uncertain terms. I told him I'd be back shortly, he just turned on his heel and went to his bed.

When I returned he refused to speak ... so I have had nobody to talk to since.

Little bugger!

Getting by.

Got a stray hanging around outside waiting to be fed whenever I come in. If it "belongs" to the people up front, they don't deserve a cat. I mean, thing is absolutely scrawney. Stray or neglected, if I can find it a home, and I've got a nibble, it's going to be someone's really sweet house cat.

Awwwwwwwww Roger, you are so good! Wish I lived closer, I would take in your stray:)

That is, as long as you don't have a "one pet" rule:)

Last night I took this photo of Comet. She's looking scrawny so we bought some Purina Hair Ball Mix. Anybody have any results with this?

Mike! Awwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!! I didn't know you were a cat person! How is it that I didn't know this? I'm sooooo confused! Shocked

Roger ~ you're such a love. That little stray was sent to you for a reason, ya know. If you don't find it another home, it's going to be the luckiest kitty in the world to call your house 'home' ~ or 'meooooow' in catspeak.

I'm battling insominia at the moment.....Didn't sleep a wink Sunday night. Slept really great last night. Wide awake again tonight.

Lacey and I just freaked each other out BIG TIME because we both heard something hit the living room window.....I heard it first and stiffened ~ she reacted to me and proceeded to stand on my lap like a hunting dog with every hair on her pointed in the direction of the window! Had to have been a three pound palmetto bug.....no one is out there.

She is turning out to be a great watch-cat. Because I don't have a porch for her to hang out in, I open my bedroom windows for her ~ they face a small backyard where lots of birds come to visit. Anyway, she comes to get me whenever she sees another animal or a human and all she wants me to do is look ~ she's not satisfied, it would seem, until I've seen the same thing she has!
