The weather is moderating. I should be able to get back to my projects soon.

Rocky has taken to shaking his squeaky chicken with such violence, that, when he releases it, it can fly off in any direction. He kept barking at me this morning, until I realized the chicken had landed in the middle of the bar. I gave it to him and he took it out the doggy door. But, he'll be back, jamming the chicken against me, until I take some action concerning same. He definitely keeps me on my toes.
Got to seem some Maverick episodes last week. First time since the 1960s. I am a sucker for the old westerns.

Clever dog, he's demonstrating Newton's First Law of Motion- "Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it".

Gonna go to work today, yup yup yup. It gets to seem a novelty when it becomes rare on the calendar. New Years week, I took on some of the lead man's tasks, while he went on vacation. I had an instance of an air conditioner, running and icing over, while the heater blasted. I told the helper, "Likely, it's the sequencer, but these type thermostats sometimes hang up where the control slides between the heat/cold settings." So, we replaced both and the unit appeared to be repaired. I had in the process rewired where some of the connections felt loose. I turned it off and on about four times before leaving and I set the temp for 80 degrees. I was off the next day, because it was New Years Eve and they didn't think they needed me. The same A/C quit working on that day. I don't know what the helper did to get the heater working, but most of the connections were not completed on the thermostat, anymore, when I got called out on New Years Day, late in the evening. I immediately started out with another new thermostat and sequencer, but nothing I did made the unit work anymore. I changed the thermostat and sequencer another time, as well as replaced other parts. Went to another apartment and made a diagram of the wiring to make certain I had not crossed some up. By this time, the resident's daughter had taken over for her. She was bossy and rude and I mostly ignored her, after a while. Then she sent me home, because she had decided to take her mother someplace else to spend the night. I knew the lead man would return the next day and I had exceeded my allotted time for the week, so I stayed home after that. He told me he spent another three hours on the A/C before taking a sequencer out of one of the other A/Cs and installing it. The unit then worked perfectly. I subsequently noticed that they were keeping old parts in with the new. The original sequencer I had removed, with intent to discard, had been saved by the helper, because it still "looked new." Likely I had been installing old, malfunctioning, parts all along.
