It is a distinguishing characteristic of Teaparty types that they never go away. That's because their admirers never get a clue.
Air conditioners running on very low freon blow capacitors. Plus cost you dozens of dollars extra in electric bills.
I can finally take leaves off of the moringa trees on a regular basis. They are very good mixed with my other food.
I am guessing my new co worker should start sometime next week. My major pain on the job right now is the new ceiling fans. To me they are not handsome and the light exudes a sickly glow. They are much too complex to work on. Installation is minorly so. But the switches on them constantly go bad. You find yourself revisiting them numerous times when you ought to be dealing with other issues.
Oppressive the heat. I had to slack off at work yesterday. My last hour was thoroughly unproductive. I plan to take it slow, until I get a pair of young legs beside, and actually a bit ahead, of me.
Our 30 year old dishwashers have decided to give up, en mass, it seems. The office informs me, "You can't keep buying all these appliances." My reply: "We could call in a specialist, but he would just confirm that they are dead."
Rick Perry says I cannot free myself of religion. It's a state law, in some respects. Take your law out on Highway 61, where it belongs, Mr Perry. I'm fed up with Teaparty "ideals" holding sway in virtually everything you idiots do.

Most of us seniors still look at "young legs" of a beautiful woman. I'm not so sure about "get."

So much for the constee2shun.
Some of my people burn candles. It waxes over their coils enough that the air conditioners cannot cool properly. I've thought of shooting hot water through there, but haven't a safe delivery system. I need a really good idea how to get that out of there.
Fathers Day tomorrow. Some of the kids and grand kids are taking me to lunch this afternoon. My first great grand kid will be among them.
mrs edgarblythe's car went in the shop the other day. The mechanic suggested replacing the entire row of injectors, but that the car would likely run very well just be replacing the one that made the check engine light come on. Couldn't afford the big job. Opted for just the one. The car feels like a new one and the light stays off so far.

How about a large heating fan coil or even a hair dryer with a funneling device to concentrate the heat, Ed? The wax should drop to the metal cover of the unit.
@edgarblythe,
I have to ask this question. How could their habit of burning of candles affect the A/c? Would they actually be dripping wax on the a/c units coils? If so, isn't that a bit daft?
@edgarblythe,
you made the right choice on the injectors, ed.
he was fishing for extra money...
what is under the coils? could you carefully melt the wax off of the coils with a low heat torch?
@edgarblythe,
alcohol will slowly dissolve candle wax (xcept for beeswax).
@edgarblythe,
you could try your grandkids supersoaker squirt rifle, but I'm not sure how hot of water it would tolerate...
@Rockhead,
The check engine light came on this morning. Again. At first, the mechanic had us run STP through a tank of gas. First, he did a few other things. In fact his helper spent the bulk of the day with the car. He ran a test for a leak that was indicated by the reading. After 3 hours, no leak found. He did not charge us for anything. The light came on again. He changed the injector and something else. This time it cost about $370. But the light is on again. I will see him again Monday.
Still thinking about the wax. I may get something to simulate a coil and experiment with it.
It has been a busy day. 2 refrigerators and an A/C. Now the building lights have failed to come on. I started to work on the last problem earlier, but it was in the direct sun off the pavement. I likely would have stroked out. Will return after the sun dips below the tree line.
@edgarblythe,
is the car still running perfectly?
(aside from the dang light, sometimes they indicate very little)
@Rockhead,
The car runs almost like a new one. The mechanic said that the reading also points at the catalytic converter, but he says fixing the other things that come up may keep us from replacing it. He does not change catalytic converters. We have had it replaced before and it is under 80,000 miles warranty.
@edgarblythe,
a simple backpressure test, if done properly and patiently, can isolate the converter.
you could probably do it yourself with a few pointers from Kansas...
I couldn't attempt it before tomorrow, My wife is off with her sister and I still have to return to work.
