@edgarblythe,
Speaking about dishwashers, we just replaced our old one with a Bosch that's more energy efficient. Got a good deal at Best Buy; $19.99 installation.

My dishwasher is a Lowe's special. The leak was in the water line I installed about fifteen years ago.

$19.99 barely covers their gas.

@Rockhead,
I hear 'ya. Mine has 4 legs and a tail and requires me to leave something tasty on the plates for it to clean them properly.

@edgarblythe,
It doesn't; they discounted the price of the dishwasher to include the installation. The original retail was $549. We got it for $385 to include the $129.99 installation cost. Total was $581 with sales tax. It has a stainless steel tub.

@cicerone imposter,
The food I cook could probably eat stainless steel. Smile

@edgarblythe,
The "hottest" food I ever ate was at an Indian restaurant right here in town. I've never eaten spicy "hot" foods in India.

@cicerone imposter,
I was joking of course. I consider stainless steel and glass to be the only really acceptable containers and cooking vessels. Plus, I don't really eat such hot food, normally. My wife refuses it.

The heat grows intense this week. I mowed the grass early and serviced the A/C. Time to move more slowly.

We have a new neighbor on the other side of the water tanks. I decided after watching them I will erect a 25' fence from the back corner of the house, to ensure privacy. Not that their actions have been in any wise offensive. But they were looking closely around at the surrounding properties and I did not care to be scrutinized.

@Ragman,
Yep. The less we see of one another, the stronger our friendship.

@edgarblythe,
I believe that is true for most people! I think spending too much time with one person doesn't necessarily strengthen friendship.

It's a good subject for discussion.

Only three more days to work by myself. As Danny Glover says, "I'm getting too old for this." But they are letting me get by as easy as possible in the office.

I took it relatively easy this weekend - just mowed in front and trimmed tree limbs. Bathed Punky the dog. Started my new protocol.
Likely I will come home and chill mostly today.

I learned that my coworker has had surgery and will wear a bag, temporarily. We decided to hire a temp for a few days. I hate that, because 80% of the temps are non productive and even the best ones take away your time to be supervised. We had one that worked wonderfully for about a week, but when he left he successfully stole a few hundred dollars worth of our stuff. Making it a double crime, an ex coworker could have stopped him but took no action.

@edgarblythe,
Poor you - not going to be easy if you have temps to train - and even if they are trained, they usually need a lot of supervision, whatever type of job they do. Pity about the good one, who stole from your firm!

@vonny,
I learned a bit ago that my coworker will not be back. He is not allowed to work for three months and then he will have follow up surgery and not be allowed to work another three months.
