@edgarblythe,
Sorry to hear about the resurfacing of that cancer. If anyone can turn it around with will strength of their power as well as astute research into alternate treatments to nuking and chemo, you can!

@Ragman,
As long as I was strong and living a normal life, I could go on as I have been indefinitely. Lately, I see the need to get aggressive about it. I am still strong and I intend to remain so.

@edgarblythe,
Any tips for lawn care when one owns a dog! My bitch doesn't dig - just wanders round it in wet weather, compacts the soil, and is generally the cause of a lot of bare patches!

@vonny,
I let Punky have her way. After all, she has nothing to do, while I have a million and one tasks ahead of me.

@edgarblythe,
That's the excuse we make for Megan and her constant hunt for food - she has nothing else to do! Apart from walks, her life consists of eating, begging for food, wandering round the garden, eating, begging for food, sleeping, eating, begging for food - you get the picture! Actually, come to think of it, she has quite a busy little life!!! Rolling Eyes Laughing Cool

You da man, Charles.

I'm 15 years free...and I hope I stay that way. But the odds are it will catch up to me also.

When it happens, I hope I handle it with as much dignity as you.

You are in my thoughts my friend.

@Frank Apisa,
Thanks, Frank and the rest of you. As of right now there is no cause to be alarmed for me. I am still getting my ducks in a row and herding the cats into their respective places before actually beginning. I made a sample batch, but it came out weak. I need to figure out why. But by next week, it should be in full swing.

Hi Edgar,

Sending my thoughts and "witchy" powers across to you from Australia.

There are strength in numbers and I know so many here admire you ...

I'll add myself to that number...

@FOUND SOUL,
It's a mutual admiration. The friends I have on a2k are the very best.

I call edgarblythe another name than that he told me/us when we met for a few minutes, and I won't spill the beans. He and I agree on all sorts of stuff over years. Some times not - one, and maybe the only one, of the not being medicine.

We have these differences, but so what.

I am essentially a graceless kid in an old man's body. It's why I prefer writing out my responses to others. I have the option to reflect, rewrite or delete. In unfamiliar situations, my cool can waver or disintegrate. I have never mastered the art of sustained conversation. I suppose some persons on the board have wondered that I don't hold my own in certain kinds of threads. The Yabber Liner and Lola's Coffee House are two examples of threads I enjoy, but have little to contribute.

@edgarblythe,
When you have something to say, you say it with conviction - make it interesting - and hold up your side of a conversation beautifully! Look at your posts on music threads such as Country Music of the 40's, 50's and early 60's - you are really knowledgeable and informative. And on this thread! All you lack is self-confidence!

A lot of what you call 'sustained conversation' is just idle chit-chat - I'm guilty of that myself - but it doesn't make me any less graceless - I'm a total klutz on threads - you don't have to look far to see how many times I make mistakes, post on the wrong thread or do something totally stupid!
