171. I think we may have finally had my eldest daughter's health mystery solved. (Info on a different thread).
172. I think Tuesday's Megamillions jackpot would look mighty good in my bank account- -in excess of $200 millions.
173. I think contentiousness on a2k is a cyberfact of life. Just have to deal with it.
174. I think basic cell phones are neat. I may get one one day.
175. I think helecopters are a frightening experience. Never intend to get in one again.
i think it's good to have edgar back thinking again
I don't do it so good, maybe, but I do a litle of it.
WIZARD
Why, anybody can have a brain. That's a
very mediocre commodity. Every pusillanimous
creature that crawls on the earth -- or
slinks through slimy seas has a brain!

From the rock-bound coast of Maine to the

that as it may. Back where I come from we
have universities, seats of great learning
-- where men go to become great thinkers.
And when they come out, they think deep
thoughts -- and with no more brains than
you have.... But! They have one thing you
haven't got! A diploma!

one and presents it to the Scarecrow as Dorothy, Tin Man and the Lion look

Yeah -- that...that's Dr. of Thinkology!
Not Duke. Not Earl. But a kini--i-ig
Ah ha ah ah ah-h nuts.
If I ever get to travel, I would like to share a drink, or some such, with you.
it would be an honour and a pleasure to meet you for a drink someday

Is there even such a thing as a basic cell phone anymore? Maybe they've gone the way of vinyl records?
I don't own a cell phone, but it seems like they have so many features built in that just the novel idea of being able to use them only for calls is a thing of the past.
We are a society of toys, for sure.
I have a "basic" cell phone, I got it 2 months ago I have not made or received one call since I got it. Diane does use her mostly for long distance.
I like my wife having one, in case she gets out and has trouble. For myself, I don't see the worth of it.

hehe, That reminds me of an episode of King of queens where Arthur gets a cell phone and he's waiting deperately for someone to give him a call.
So, was it a hard job finding such a model? I can't imagine that they are many out there?

well mine seems pretty basic (until I try to read the instructions) no pictures or music downloads or anything. makes and receives calls (our contract gives us 400 minutes per month) and we've never come close to that.
My cell phone is my only phone. I always know within minutes when anyone is calling me and I can call people back quickly. It's glorious!

There was also a record speed of 16 2/3, but I never saw a record like that.
I have Gershwin on a 16 2/3. Haven't listened to it for ages. Still have a few shreds of the sleeve it came in.
I've enjoyed reading your thoughts, Edgar. Just finished reading this whole thread.
Morning, Roberta. I am enjoying this thread more than any I've done lately.
176. I think the staff at work will view me differently, from now on. They saw a photo of me, wearing a great shaggy beard, from the early 1970s.
177. I think Don Gibson is my all-time favorite country music star, despite the fact his songwriting and recording abilities diminished to insignificance after only a short period of recording success.
178. I think Georgia and I Can't Stop Loving You, both by Ray Charles, are the two finest recorded performances in my personal collection.
179. I think Jimmy Carter has been the finest, most positive ex-president in my memory.
180. I think we as a people will not suffer heroes very long, but will tear apart the images they present, until the great are seen to be ordinary.
181. I think my drive to work is about to become a trying experience. New construction will fill both available routes with dumptrucks, concrete trucks and heavy equipment for the forseeable future.
182. I think a slowly phased withdrawal from Iraq is the best option.
183. I think Japanese would be a wonderful language to learn- -but, I'm either too mentally lazy or something to do so. I have a hell of a struggle with English.
184. I think I need to spend more time with the grandkids. The youngest one ran from me screaming Saturday.
185. I think the bloodroot capsuls I have incorporated into my diet are providing great results. I plan to use the stuff for years to come.
What do bloodroot capsules do for you, edgar?
