Hey blacksmithn - great news. I read through the whole thread, and I'm glad it wasn't a more serious condition.

I'm gettin married on 7/7/07 to someone who "makes me happy all the time", so we have that in common.

Congratulations!!

Right - but shouldn't snood have chosen a date which can be remembered easily?

Hey, blacksmithn - How frequent are the migrains? Geez, Bear used to have them all the time. I've only had two. I can tell you, I was doing more than just forgetting a few words. Those things are unbearable!

Hope she isn't dealing with migrains too frequently and has meds that help.

They're pretty regular. She recently was prescribed Imitrex to take if she feels one coming on and that helps a lot. Friggin' insurance company would only authorize 4 pills a month, though, so we had to have a go 'round with them about that.

Has she ever tried Midrin? I know its for other things, but I've seen it prescribed for migraines, as well.

I don't know, I'll ask. What's it usually for? I assume it's prescription?

It is a prescription medication, sometimes given to women for cramps and aches they get pre-and during menstruation. It is used often for vascular headaches, and is a common first-line drug for some physicians in the treatment of migraine.

It has 3 ingredients -
Isometheptene Mucate 65 mg, Dichloralphenazone 100 mg, and Acetaminophen 325 mg.

I'm so happy for both Blacksmithn and Snood! Great news all around! Smile Kewl.

(and I gotta say, Mrs Smithy kinda ended up with a good experience, in that it wasn't anything serious, but she got to see what a great guy she's got standing by her.)
