I agree with that, margo. I know Craven just quit his job and is becoming a pro poker player (!) ...

Seriously? I hope he doesn't have to use this site as collateral if he doesn't have enough "stake money". Laughing

Back in 1999 when my son installed my first computer and initiated me into the mysteries of the Internet, he warned me that the less one knew about computers, the more superstitious one became.

We're all trying to see patterns--hopeful patterns--with limited data in our spare time.

Has a Saint of the Internet been appointed yet?

The last post I remember Craven making said something about he was not aware of the problem and that someone like one of us should have called him. I asked him how does one call him if you do not have the phone number? He did not respond.

That was when the site was completely down. He's well aware that the site is having the problems it's having -- that's where the RAM came up. (The RAM will hopefully solve the problem -- we just don't know if he installed it already and it hasn't solved the problem, or if he hasn't installed it yet and there is still the possibility that things will be hunky-dory once it's installed.)

Isidore of Seville

Proclaimed Doctor of the Church by Pope Benedict XIV in 1722, and became the leading candidate for patron of computer users and the Internet in 1999.

Speaking of RAM, d'ja hear the story about Abraham and Isaac? Isaac was complaining to his father Abraham that their PC didn't have enough memory and Abraham said, "Son, God will provide the ram."

I figured that was the most reasonable conclusion.
So, he really exists.

Well I thought he could be like Santa or those M & M guys that don't really exist.

So, thank you Jespah, Craven and Walter Hinteler

I have nothing to do with running the side, tryingtohelp.

I'm just an ordinary member, only here a bit longer than you are ... and I "know" Craven from Abuzz and his previous site.

I am sorry because I knew or figured that. I was thanking you for telling me.
I also do not think you are ordinary. None of the members that I have run across are ordinary. They all have something special. I do not know what it is but they do. (I would say you have been here much longer but, I still could be older than you)

Please call me tth if you like.

The RAM was supposed to be installed today. The techs at the datacenter took the server offline and then realized they had the wrong type of RAM. Rolling Eyes

Anywho, they are rescheduling but it should be installed soon.
