Btw: I've taken about half ounce of that white powder inside the squirrel only - should be enough left for the others.

Eh?

White powder? Shocked

Does he have some kind of a tear? (Could be he's filled with sand -- but I don't know anything about white powder.) Maybe go ahead and sew him up if there's a problem?

(I can't tell if you guys are kidding or not!)

What are the decorations? (Gold under his arm, pin, something near his nose...)

Hörni is in deepest depression: Rocky is on the way towards Austria and with luck will be there on Saturday already.

Ours stays here - you can play with it as usually when you're here.

(By the way, I have been informed that the white powder comments were in jest. Scoundrels. Had me all worried. Laughing)

I'm getting jittery. See, I donated to dublab.com some time ago, my all-time totally supercool eclectic online radio station - and they sent everyone who donated a package, contents depending on roughly how much you were giving. You know - a t-shirt, a cd or two, a drawing, some stickers, whatever they have at hand. (They're just a bunch of laid-back guys.)

Here's my problem: I never received my package. I emailed them and one of them wrote back, saying that he remembered putting mine together (I used my work address, and that plus Hungary must have stood out). So it disappeared on the way. He was very nice, wrote that they'd send a new package, and if that didnt arrive either, to let them know.

Thing is, thats apparently not all that unusual, for interesting-looking packages to dissappear in the mail. I thought things must have vastly improved compared to ten years ago, when I got only about one in two things that were sent to me - what, with EU accession and everything. I got a package from Holland earlier fine. But perhaps not. My colleague at least shrugged and said, oh yeah, that happens.

So I think I'm going to opt out. Because I'm looking at all these pictures Walter made and everything, and thinking, if all of this would disappear on its way to or back from Hungary - that would seriously, seriously suck. For all of you. I would feel really bad.

I'll send a PM to Ul saying to send it on to Smorgs instead.. Sorry Confused

Aw.... no problem, though.

Let me go back through and see who was next up, rearrange things a bit. I think there was someone else from England, that may be easiest...

Hee...

OK, this is chronological order of people who said they were interested but who didn't make the previous cut (writing this down both for figuring out who will replace nimh's stop and for Skunk's Progress)...

timber (NW Wisconsin)
FreeDuck (Atlanta, maybe a trip to Morocco) (latter would probably take too long for Rocky)
Heeven (Hawaii in June/ July)
Swimpy (Iowa)
dlowan (Australia, if there aren't time constraints)
CJ (California)
Thomas (Germany)
Eva (Tulsa)
martybarker (Seattle)
GUS!!!!! (the swamp)
squinney (? not certain) (North Carolina)
dadpad X 2 (for the skunk)
Jes (Boston)
Noddy (PA)
Steve 41oo (London)

This is what we have:

1.) Me (Columbus) (Done!)
2.) Dadpad (Australia) (Done!)
3.) Walter (Germany) (Done!)

----- Walter, you've already sent Rocky to Ul, right?-----

Scheduled:

4.) Ul (Vienna)
5.) nimh, Budapest (CANCELED)
6.) Smorgs, (Manchester)
7.) Dys/ Osso, (NM)
8.) Roger (Farmingham)
9.) DrewDad/ Shewolf, (Austin, TX)

Hmmm. Would like maximum diversity within the time frame. The US stint is heavy on the southwest/ TX, maybe send to another US region. Most of the first non-SW areas are in the Midwest, which is where Rocky's from in the first place. Maybe Jes in Boston...? So that'd probably be Ul to Smorgs, Smorgs to Jes, Jes to Dys/ Osso.

Ul, Smorgs, and especially Jes, whaddya think?

You can also use the English (International) keyboard layout. Go to control panel->regional settings->languages->details and add the keyboard layout.

Here's a link on how to use it (http://www.starr.net/is/type/intlchart.html). It's a bit more intuitive than the ALT+Number method.

(You may have to turn of Windows hotkeys to get some of the symbols to work.)

Martybarker would work too actually (Northwest as opposed to Northeast).

Whichever one responds first, I guess. (And if neither of them can, will move on to the next.)

Actually, I'm gonna concede, things are busy at work again and I suspect a visit to a large financial services institution would not be too exciting for Rocky.
