It snowed all day in Portland, Wednesday.
Filled the skies.
If the Patriots want blizzards to be part of their home edge they'll have to move their games up here.
@Kolyo,
got a report that Eastport got dumped on so far this winter. Ill go visit the QUODDY TIDES website to see what pix they got up.
@farmerman,
Heres one by Don Dunbar the local photog in Eastport on the Quoddy Tides staff
@farmerman,
Nice..
reminds me of Chicago, early fifties. Less snow now, but the general idea.
@ossobuco,
Thats the entrance to the BAy of Fundy in the background
The night before last we got the finest granular snow i've ever seen. The "snowflakes" (granules, more like) were so small, they would melt from the heat of your skin before they landed on you. It was like walking through a fine, misting rain. The snow crunched underfoot like cinders, except, of course, that it was all white. We had a little more last night. It's supposed to hit a scorching four degrees today--according to the Weather Channel, it's already four degrees.
@Region Philbis,
another shoeless winter in the bathtub
@ehBeth,
a soul-less winner in the bahamas...
I just sent The Girl a PM about this--there is a gale of wind out there, with heavy snow in it. I let the boy dog out so he wouldn't pee himself, and when i let him back in, he looked like a cake someone had just frosted.
An end to winter's cold will come soon with an early spring, according to
Pennsylvania's famous groundhog, Punxsutawney Phil, who emerged from
his lair today and didn't see his shadow.
@George,
he better be right about this, or omma hold that friggin' ferret responsible...
@Region Philbis,
Nine (9) inches of snow this Friday (2/8/13). This is should be a major snowstorm.
@Miller,
according to my
not-so impeccable records, the last time we had at least that much was 1/27/11...
@Region Philbis,
I do believe the Snowmaggeddon is scheduled for the 35th anniversary of the Blizzard of '78.
per weather channel --
2-4" friday day, and then another 10-15" friday night...

That would be crazy if that is true...How much snow did you get 2 years ago when it was really bad in this area?
