Ha! We've only got light snow, and temps have soared into the mid teens. It's practically spring in the upper midwest today.

Snow through wednesday is up to 4". But, then it is supposed to continue until the am hours of Thursday. Wunderground doesn't make predictions for the snow fall wed am to thurs am.

Here in Cville today we got up to 60. We propped the doors to the shop open to let in some fresh air. But it clouded up this pm and an icy mix is predicted for tonight; the southern edge of the NE system.

Came damn' close to 50 degrees F. in Boston today. That's pretty incredible for this town in early February.

@Merry Andrew,
Yeah, we were damn close to 40 yesterday. Only thing worse than more snow falling if freaking snow melting.

The weekend was warm (well-above freezing anyway). We have two days in the mid to high 30s and then 40s for the rest of the wrok week. maybe all the snow will be gone by the weekend!

you lucky so-and-so !
we've finally climbed above the freezing mark , tomorrow morning we expect freezing rain - coming all the way out of the prairies - why don't they keep it ?
normals for this time of year are minus 2 c to minus 10 C overnight .
we'll be "back to normal" by weekend - still plenty of snow and ice out there .
at least one rabbit has climbed out of the hole under the spruce trees and is marching through the garden - nibbling at a few green shoots coming up on the south and west side of the house .

i took the first pic as sort of a joke for the oz folks suffering from heat exhaustion, offering them a nice cool place to sit

thought the contrast yesterday would make a nice follow up

the footprints in the snow are about a foot deep

@djjd62,
All footprints are a foot deep. Ha!

I know that we're only going to have more freeze and snow down the road, so I'm just pissed off that we're having a thaw now. One thaw is bad enough, two is just cruel. (Especially if you own multiple dogs, if you catch my drift.)
