Got a little melting today.

We drove out to Forest Hills Cemetery to visit my father-in-law's. Sure was
pretty. Nigel and I had to break a path through the snow so the Lovely
Bride could get to her Dad's grave. She place a poinsettia in front of the
stone.

On the Jamaicaway was the most tackily decorated house I have ever seen.
The guy had one of every conceivable blow-up Holiday figure all around the
front of his house. What an eyesore!

Merry Andrew and I have reservations at Mt. Gethesemina(sp) It's a family plot with a nice tree over it. We went and cleaned it before I came back to Hawaii. We make a point of going out and saying hello to old friends.

Down on 10th St NW in Cville, George, is a house decorated equally as tacky as the one you have seen. I have pulled over on my way home to marvel at how bad it is.

But in this case it is in a rough, rough neighborhood. You wouldn't want to walk through there at anytime and would want to think about driving through there late at night. If I did either and got in trouble, that is the house I would run to.

Already have the car packed. Off to Kona for an afternoon of snorkling tomorrow with friends. There has been nought but rain, rain, rain. Kona is the dry side.

Not as bad as Boston, not particularly pleasant.

another good reason to stay put in slovakia. we had a stretch of balmy 40s ever since i came. today is the first colder day, but nothing as despicable as what it looks like in boston. i object.

Student exchange kid in Shepparton (1/2 hour from me) is going home to Boston in about a week. He's in for some readjustments... and not just the weather.

Where the hell is this global warming everyone's talking about?

Today I want everyone to go out, buy a case of hairspray bottles, and let them loose into the ozone. Leave your car running in the driveway until it runs out of gas. Then go trade it in for a Ford F-350.
