Looks it will be a sunny day tomorrow (too showery today).
So, would it please you if I take photographs of hundreds if not thousands of daffodils blossoming on the road to town?

Yeah, we've got a big thaw coming, too. Thank God I'll be out of the country -- I hate the muddy mess of the spring snowmelt.
On the other hand, I'd wished we had had just one cold day and some more with such a beautiful weather!

find anything." "Very funny, Dad."), but lots of skin scaped off.
yoikes!
glad he didn't break anything...
one morning i was walking down an icy street, and watched people seemingly vanish behind the parked cars -- as if they had stepped on a trap door...
George--
Sounds painful--and his ego must also be brushburned.
Ah, youth!
Remember a snowy night years back in Chicago. Was walking home after bar time and cut through the parking lot of an orthodox church on the corner. Leaned a little too far forward and planted my chin into the ground.
I put hands to chin, absolutely expecting to have it split open at the site of a scar where I'd split it open twice previosly.
No blood.
"Well, that's good," I think, and laugh, and set off again.
I make it about three steps and go down again -- and, again, right on my chin. Still no blood, though. I guess the second guy who sewed it up (and removed scads of scar tissue, which he set aside in case I wanted to keep it (?)) did a pretty good job. And he'd been working very late at night, too. Kudos.
drinkin' and walkin' on snow just don't mix...
Are you serious? If I'd been sober, it might've hurt.
SUN!! I see it, but I'm not sure I believe it. The downside is that we started the morning at a brisk 14 degrees. High of 40 today for the city, but not here because of our deep snow cover (argh!!!) I might bundle up and sit outside for a bit at noon with my face tilted up. Vitamin K anyone?
lol ing my way through this thread.
I just got NO idea.
The driveway has melted. I'm no longer trapped in the house.
Be careful! I'll bet that asphalt is really sticky.
The driveway won't be sticky until July when it will require another coat of sealer.
I will not elaborate.
After a wire haired terrier romped through a repaving job, the street crew advised me to clean her off with vegetable oil. Vegetable oil works.
Safflower oil's on the dole...
another brrrrrrrrrrrrr night in beantown.
currently its 10°F (feels like -5°).
i think i may be getting used to it.
i walked straight into a stiff wind, but didn't feel the need to cover my face...
I still feel the need, but I can also now grin and bear it.
Ha ha!
Still around freezing in Madison, almost 9:00 at night.
Took the dogs to the park today, 34 degrees with a modest southerly wind blowing over the softening ice, and caught myself thinking, "Spring's a-comin.'"
I thought it just like that, too.
