I'm tough.

Seriously, I'm tough. I used to eschew tights when I wore skirts in Minnesota winters -- 20 below, 30 below -- because that was so wimpy to "need" tights, yeah right.

There is just a point at which my patience for all this goddamn cold withers. That point seemed to be reached sometime last week. Today I went out without a hat and the wind whistled around my head and my ear canals hurt from the cold.

I want SPRING!

That pic could easily be a pic of the ice fishng tent out on the lake beside my place. I'll have to go out with the camera and take a pic of it tomorrow.

Thanks, soz.

K refuses to go to school today. She's suffering from a severe case of March blahs.

I sympathize.

There is now snow tumbling down, lots of it. On the one hand it gets a reflexive "oooh, pretty!!" out of me. On the other hand a) it's cold, b) I JUST finally de-iced the driveway.

Me too. That, and I get more done at home than sitting through stultifyingly dull lectures...

I've swept my way to the garage twice. Mr. Noddy is being protective, insisting that he will go down the driveway for the newspapers.
He's been insisting for nearly two hours now.

Here it is a fine, powdery snow, easily swept, but very slippery when packed. I don't do slippery.

Thank you.

Nigel took a wicked fall and did a face plant into the asphalt of the school
parking lot. No broken bones ("They did an xray of your head but didn't
find anything." "Very funny, Dad."), but lots of skin scaped off.

I finally convinced her to get out of bed and MOVE. She put on some music, ran up and down the halls a bit (too much new snow to go outside, plus it's gray and dreary again), and is now sitting at Mr B's high intensity SAD lamp working on some school work. It's doubtful I'll get her to school today, but at least she's out of bed.

Tomorrow's forecast is for SUN!!!!

It's freezing alright, but I still order my iced coffee. Yep, unlike Soz, I don't care for the hot stuff (only rarely), even in below 0 I like it iced.

Talk about tough!
