I hope this turns out to be something that's treatable, edgar. I don't really have anything to add, but I did find a website that explains a lot about dizziness and what could cause it. Here. I hope it has information that helps.

One more song for the lovely Miss Jean (PS Chanukah was great, thank you for your good wishes). How do I know Miss Jean is lovely? Well, she's your daughter, ain't she?

David Bowie's Jean Genie:
David Bowie wrote:
A small jean genie snuck off to the city
Strung out on lasers and slash back blazers
Ate all your razors while pulling the waiters
Talking bout Monroe and walking on snow white
New York's a go-go and everything tastes nice
Poor little greenie, whoa ho
Get back home

The jean genie lives on his back
The jean genie loves chimney stacks
He's outrageous, he screams and he bawls
Jean genie let yourself go!

Sits like a man but he smiles like a reptile
She love him, she love him but just for a short while
She'll scratch in the sand, won't let go his hand
He says he's a beautician and sells you nutrition
And keeps all your dead hair for making up underwear
Poor little greenie, whoa ho

The jean genie lives on his back
The jean genie loves chimney stacks
He's outrageous, he screams and he bawls
Jean genie let yourself go oh

He's so simple minded he can't drive his module
He bites on the neon and sleeps in the capsule
Loves to be loved, loves to be loved
Whoa ho
Whoa ho

Aoo jean genie lives on his back
The jean genie loves chimney stacks
And he's outrageous, he screams and he bawls
The jean genie let yourself go! go

Go

Jean genie lives on his back
Jean genie loves chimney stacks
And he's outrageous, he screams and he bawls
Jean genie let yourself go whoa go
Go go

Jean is a pretty girl. I may have said it already, that she is actually a step daughter. But, she has been a part of my family for twenty eight years.

I hope it turns out to be something identifiable and easily treatable, edgar. Best wishes to you, Mrs edgar, and Jean.

Edgar--

Family-by-Choice can be as dearly loved as Family-by-Blood.

Sometimes, more so.

Then again sometimes our "symptoms" are no more than non-pathological "disorders" unique to our personal constitutions. Conditions we just learn to live with. What's the word--it escapes me now--for "uncaused" symptoms? I have optical migraines (painless visual disorders accompanied by expressive aphasia) that I just live with. It seems that Jean's symptoms have lasted so long that they are very unlikely to be life-threatening.

Hopefully, you are correct. That they have lately been tossing around maladies, such as tumors and that like, makes me somewhat anxious, but there is no cause for despair.

Noddy, she is my daughter. I just didn't want tp claim having any part in determining her looks. She looks much like her grandmother at the same age.

Has anyone suggested a neurologist? That would be my recommendation.

They have given Jean another round of tests. Result: inconclusive, although they say most of it points to MS. They are not for certain. Some of the symptoms a doc looks for are not there so far. She is scheduled for a new round of tests in a few weeks. To me, it is best to let these series of tests go as far as the doctors can go with them. Then, second opinions sought. To me, they appear to be willing to go that extra mile in solving this thing, and should be supported, at least for now.

Edgar--

Recently, I'm hearing of more and more people who have been diagnosed with MS. Evidently our 21st century environment is not kind to immune systems.

Yesterday I had triumphant e mail from a friend whose daughter is battling the disease. Her latest MRI showed that thanks to a new drug, her brain lesions were greatly reduced.

My thoughts are with you, your wife and your daughter.

Hold your dominion.

edgar~
Just happened on this thread.
I wish I could offer some help or information, but I can't.
The battling feelings of hope and helplessness sure can take their toll.
All my best wishes (and prayers - atheist or no) are heading your way, bro.
Hang in there.

The best part of this story, so far, is, they are not making snap judgements, not starting treatments for something they are uncertain of.
