Equus beat me to a few there....
Henry Miller - The Musical (any book will do, but Under the Roofs of Paris would be the worst)
Jihad in Pennsylvania: Two Al Quaeda operatives hijacking a small plane accidentally crash in an Amish community and learn to put aside their evil ways through barn-raising.
As far as REAL musicals go, my girlfriend and I have almost parted ways over "1776". I like it. She thinks it is an abomination. I see her point, it is somewhat kitschy, but I don't care, I like it.
Bush: The Air Reserve Years
The Seven Pillars of Wisdom - Lawrence
The Interpretation of Dreams
The Tibetan Book of the Dead
Roget's Thesaurus
"The Secret Sex Life Of Rush Limbaugh"
After seeing 'Titanic', I thought a truly awful musical may have made from that dreck....
Jaws was a good one...
Now 'Orca' may have made a good musical....there is a certain pathos there....here are some suggested songs:
"I'm Not a Whale, Just Misunderstood" (or "killer whales are dolphins you idiots)"
"Saving You" (or "I ate Jaws in the opening sequence, what the heck were you thinking coming after us?)"
"Enough" (or "You humans are still way too dumb.)"
tHE ENTIRE PREMISE OF THIS THREAD IS SILLY AND STUPID, i CAN HANDLE THAT.
HERES MINE--"EXCEL FOR DUMMIES"
Good Things (by Martha Stewart)
I like Excel for Dummies as a concept....gotta think of a song:
"Spreadsheet, spreadsheet,
Gotta count all that wheat!
Taxman, taxes,
Want to kill them all with axes."
Dynasty
Dallas
Knotts Landing
High Priest (Timothy Leary)
The Day the Earth Stood Still
Tron
Star Trek
Really dreadful musicals I've actually seen:
Pericles
Carrie
Jane Eyre
Holy cow, there was a Carrie: the Musical?
I think Carrie: the Musical set a record for biggest Broadway money-loser.
It ran for a weekend in 1988 - I saw it in previews. Truly dreadful.
