You guys need to study the Constitution and the Bill of Rights. It's about freedom and to seek happiness as individuals.

It may seem ridiculous to ask this but, what choices can ever be made by one who is dead?

A pregnant woman who in almost all cases was never deprived of a right to choose before becoming pregnant.

Whereas, another human life is denied any choice at all forever because the woman made an "unwise" choice or a "bad" choice but a choice nonetheless right?.

Pro choice? What's pro choice about that?

Honestly, when I was younger I used to ponder the same question when thinking about this topic. however when presented all of the evidence before me, and witnessing firsthand the effects of both CHOICES, I realized that this arguement is quickly trumped by everything else to concider.

P.s. - In your rant about unwise and poor choices, you made no meantion of the man involved. shame on you.

Whether the man made an "unwise" or "bad" choice or not.....he has no voice or further choice. 2 are silenced. 1 forever for the sake of a woman's choice with abortion.

Shame on you.

The pursuit of happiness............applies to male and female alike no?

If a woman is denied the choice of abortion...is she denied her pursuit?

Then men are denied no?

There are some things in life that is or isn't. A man has many choices about sex and/or marriage. Give it some thought; it might strike you as revealing.

No, you do speak according to the fundamentals of hypocrisy. You wish to deny any woman the right to choose her own life decisions. That's intrusion into another person's life who you do not even know or care about. My position is to let all women decide for themselves what decision they wish to make. Big difference.

A woman should choose HER OWN LIFE decisions. That's not what we are even talking about here.

Yes it is! Does her decision affect you in any way before or after the birth?

Why should you care if rape is illegal since it won't affect you personally?

Why should you care if discrimination against blacks is illegal?

Why should you care if child abuse is illegal? You're not a child.

Since these things don't affect you in any way, you should have nothing to say about them being legal or illegal, eh?

He has no more choices than a woman does regarding sex and marriage does he? He has plenty opportunity to make choices before a pregnancy right? Yet....a woman does not? If not afforded the choice of abortion she is being denied her pursuit of happiness? Ponder that.

A woman makes the same choices....no?

So I take it you agree with my ignorant comment as to the facts?

real, The topic of this thread is "when does life begin?" It's not about "rape (although pregnancy may have some relevance), discrimination, child abuse, or any other issues not relevant to this topic. If you wish to discuss those, you can always start a new thread.

This thread includes pro-life and pro-choice issues, Roe vs Wade, and the laws of our land concerning thus.

No voice or influence on the choice? I call BS. I'm pretty confident that if more men were to help out after the woman became pregnant then more women would feel good enough to CHOOSE to keep the child.

Question: Do you know any person in your family or close circle of friends who has had an abortion?

The question of rape, child abuse, and discrimination are as pertinent to the discussion as Roe vs Wade.

CI - Quite frankly, you don't have to answer any of RLs questions. They've been answere3d before, and he doesn't feel obliged to answer other's questions.

By HIS own standard of ethics, this is a respectable way to conduct himslf.

but he doesn't understand that being that he's trying to attack you for you holding him to HIS own standard of ethics.

If you believe so, read back in the thread, there is plenty of dialogue on this subject. Quite frankly, I know I'm tired of typing up my responce everytime RL asks this very ANSWERED question.

Then you have a guy who wants the child and a woman who does not and opts for an abortion.

What now? Too bad for him? He should have picked a better suitor? What? Is he denied his pursuit of happiness Constitution man?

It's called "knowing your partner" before having sex or marriage. Simple, really!

Once again you took the words out of my mouth regarding what to say to a woman who is denied abortion. Simple really. You could'nt have made it simpler.

She should have known her partner. Right? Or just the guy?

You apply one standard to a man and refuse to hold a woman to the same standard. How are you able to do this? Abortion?

No. You completely miss the point; it's the woman's body and her nurturing that is required after the baby is born. The man only provides the sperm, and has the responsibility to know his partner about children before he makes the "commitment" to have sex/marriage/baby. Many men also run out on their pregnant girlfriends, and leaves the responsibility of the baby to the mother.

It seems you understand very little about the facts life.
