Osso, Borat is from Kazakhstan allright - that is, the fictional character played by Sascha Cohen called Borat is from Kazakhstan.

And yup Slappy, Kazakhs be Turkic, not Arabic.

And oh Slappy makes me jealous... this is funny... I'm so glad I didnt start writing any kind of elaborate post, because first off Padog already said everything serious I'd wanted to say and second, Slappy then posted what I would have liked to post... Stevewonder wont get it, but its funny Smile

I guess its all about recognising when people are not being serious.. luckily, Slappy and Gus etc make that part easy for (the rest of) us :wink:

Humor is charaterization to let of social tension but it can also be used to dehumanize someone or group and thus make it accepatable to attack that group with impunity. It is a fine line. If people are angry and comedians start exaggerating about that person's foibles then they have a hearty laugh especially if the person is higher up. Leno made a career of Clinton jokes and ultimately affected Democratic fortunes as he carried on with Gore. So now I am glad that Leno is buzzing off. I used to like him but any more as he helped W get in.

Ali G is pretty much talentless and I think people who defend him need to understand abit more about what he is trying to achieve.

Its clear he wants to demean black people and germans with his 'comedy.'
In the same way the old black and white films portrayed racial stereo types, as 'comedy' i cant believe this guy is allowed to get away with such backward and disgusting racism.

He should know better given he belongs to a minority group, not to mention he is not even funny.

Two black kids are thumbing a ride on the side of the highway.

Truck driver sees them and pulls over.

The oldest kid asks where he is going and if they can catch a ride.

Truck driver says- " Yes. But you boys have to ride in the back. Its illegal for hitchhikers to ride up front. There aint nothin but bowling balls back there so you will have plenty of room"

Guy gets out , and lets them in back , and drives on.

A few miles down the road, the truck driver gets pulled over by 2 white cops.

After inspecting his cab, they ask him to get out and open the back.

Truck driver does so, and stands back while the officer opens the door.

Jumping about 3 feet in the air, the officer starts screaming for his partner.

" BUBBA! BUBBA! GET OVER HERE!
THIS GUY IS HAULING NI*GER EGGS AND 2 OF THEM DONE HATCHED!!"
