A weighted screen door. Very clever. Did it work?

Nice to see you, Tai. Spring's around the corner. Looking forward to happy news about your progress.

I bought some canning tongs today. I'm hoping to lay up some apple sauce in the near future. Will I actually do it? Mebbe.

The screen door did not work. Someone (who me?) suggested that the weight was not heavy enough to keep the door closed after the bats had forced their way out and it seems that I was right (hey, it happens!) Here you can see the Mr. working on the bat entrance and you can see why it was so important that the power be off while he did it:

We had a nice Thanksgiving, thanks, although it was bitterly cold. Here's a side trip we took to Bridal Veil Falls:

My goodness the Mr. is doing a splendid job but that ladder job looks a bit risky to me. LOL The old school is shaping up nicely though. I suppose the winter will slow you down a little?

**** hit the fan six ways from Sunday quite a while ago now. Best laid plans etcetc....I'll get there eventually....

Sigh.

But! My mum made a bunch and I am on the receiving end so I count myself lucky. I got so far as pricing the things. It's pretty shocking, they've doubled in such a short time. She got hers from a local farm and did much better than I could have at the local grocery stores.
