I found the Coulter column that skewers the President. What do you Coulter critics think about this one? And has Michael Moore written anything comparable about anyone in the Democrat leadership?

No, I don't think Moore compared a reigning Democratic President to the anti-abortion zealots.

Thanks for posting.

It's nice to know that there are some honest Republicans out there. All we get here are the conniving apologists, the tangential ticos, the delusional crowd, the Bill O's of A2K.

McG you are one twisted arsehole posting that.

We bombed hundreds of thousands of these people to death, and you have been one of the foremost apologists of the aggression, on these threads for years.

So it has come to this? You call somebody a 'twisted arsehole' because he shows something good and decent? How twisted is that? And 'we bombed hundreds of thousands of these people to death'? By any credible source the Iraqi death toll is in the tens of thousands--possibly as many as 100,000--and the very large majority of those are civilians killed by the TERRORISTS, McTag, not us. Where is your sanctimonious condemnation of the people who are bombing innocent people on purpose? This may be your most hateful (and stupid) post yet.

I suppose you think we should have left Saddam in power to continue to rape, torture, murder, and terrorize the people? The most conservative estimate of the death toll at his hand is 400,000 and the worst case scenario (by the Iraqis themselves) is something around a million. They found another mass grave just last month. According to humanitarian organizations, at least 50,000 Iraqis, mostly children, died from starvation and neglect during the sanctions as Saddam enriched himself and his international buddies while withholding food for oil monies intended for medicine and food for the people. I suppose you think we should have just continued those sanctions for decades more.

How dare you object to an instance of praise for the brave young men and women who are putting their lives on the line in Iraq and who are doing far more humanitarian work than fighting. And when they fight, it is against the terrorists, not the Iraqi people. What kind of mind thinks that something good and decent and positive should not be shown?

I don't expect you to be honest enough to even look, but there are numerous websites put out there by some of those brave young men and women showing the side of their work that you rarely see in the mainstream media that feeds the hateful, dishonest, and stupid rhetoric like what you just spouted.

Look HERE and HERE and HERE and I could post dozens more.

I realise the spin machines are working flat out.
I also realise that there are plenty of decent caring westerners working in Iraq.

That doesn't give bloodthirsty militarist like McG the right to indulge in a group hug here, which is what he obscenely did, when he has supported the bombing of innocents abroad, and consistently given support to the criminal and dishonest Bush administration.

But it gives you the right to show only one side and distort and dishonestly misrrepresent the facts about that? Somebody is coming across as an 'arsehole' here. And it isn't McG.

Lots of terrorist apologists here at A2K, McT. Funny ... I don't recall you ever bringing them to task.

You are now displaying the same sort of mind-fart your leftist brethren did when they suggested I couldn't suggest someone display proper manners because I posted some Ann Coulter articles. "Twisted arsehole" indeed.

Foxy, if we have done so much for Iraq (by taking out Saddam, rehabbing the country, etc.), why is it that the vast majority of Iraqis want us out, and that a majority of those people want us dead?

You should face the truth that Bush lied his way into Iraq to grab the oil and gain political capital. Administration maps have leaked showing the country divided up among the US oil companies. And Bush has spoken of the political capital that he has gained (and intends to spend). Unfortunately, he and his minions are ignorant of, or purposely ignored, the lessons of history. The Arabs don't tolerate foreign invaders and eventually force them out.

Chris Matthews enjoys asking administration officials whether the additional troops injected into Iraq will be used to break into more homes, further endearing us to the population.

Isn't it time that the right admits that Bush is, and has been, a disaster relative to our country.

The Iraqis definitely look forward to a time when we will no longer be necessary there. But I think the vast majority of Iraqis don't want us out until that is the case.

I don't believe for a minute that the President has lied about anything related to Iraq and only those who are blind, stupid, or totally ignorant of the facts perpetuate that slur.

Chris Matthews is a dishonest leftwing shill if that's what he enjoys doing.

I do not and will not say that Bush is and has been a disaster relative to our country. He's made mistakes, demonstrated some incompetency at times, and holds some positions I don't support, but disaster? No.

And I still say Leftwingers who hold, demonstrate, and post more hatred directed at the President than they hold, demonstrate, and post hatred of terrorism and terrorists are far more a problem to this country than is President Bush.
