Foxfyre, do you really expect an answer? It's so much easier just doing the drive by disruption and fleeing then to try to explain anything. The trolls do their daily chores of flinging their feces and we really shouldn't acknowledge their acts as anything more.

Well, every now and then I like to hold out hope that somebody's finer side has actually emerged. Admittedly I am often disappointed, but every now and then somebody actually surprises me.

But you're right. So I'll try harder.

I will not feed the trolls, argue with idiots, or engage in exercises in futility. I will not feed the trolls, argue with idiots, or engage in exercises in futility. I will not feed the trolls, argue with idiots, or engage in exercises in futility. I will not feed the trolls, argue with idiots, or engage in exercises in futility. I will not. . . .

Perhaps, McTag, this thread is not to your taste and you should avoid it rather then posting in it.

I know I speak only for myself here, but your presence isn't required in this thread if you do not like the subject matter.

If you want to make jokes about the bloodbath and godawful mess we have created in Iraq, you can expect to be challenged on it, and called worse things that that.

I can't think of anything worse than being called a "prat" by a Euroweenie.

You don't have to try so hard, Foxy. You folks are actually very good at memorizing and spewing mantras and talking points. The latest memes have hit the airwaves and printwaves and you're gobbling them up like a bunch of turkeys at feeding time.

There's nothing but a series of memes in Boortz's article. Where are the facts that support any of his contentions? How is it that he missed the fact that some, what, 65% of Americans don't support George in Iraq. Why hasn't this been raised over the last months before the election.

How could you get sucked in by such irresponsible nonsense? [rhetorical question] You, Boortz and others are plumping for an even bigger Potemkin village to prevent the other side from seeing the truth that is right there in front of you. Sadly, that is the truth. You want to hide and hide from the truth.

Can't you see where it's gotten y'all so far?

My god. Reading the Boortz piece, then the laudatory comments, has been the intellectual equivalent of watching a scene from "Jackass".

Let these people go, boys. The damage already done is at a level of severity which none of us can hope to repair.

Considering the above, why wouldn't the Islamic terrorists believe that they have scored a major victory, and that America is weakening before their eyes?

It was a major victory for the terrorists that Bush fired Rummy? Interesting analysis...

Come on O.E. I've given you HUGE credit for being both intelligent and reasonable compared to the trolls, idiots, and exercises in futility that regularly spam the thread. Read it again in context. I know you'll see what Boortz was getting at.

(I hope I don't ruin your reputation by complimenting you though.)

It sorta goes along with all the headlines blaring that Al Qaida sees the Democrat victory as a victory for them.

Right. I misread. He actually said that the Islamic terrorists would believe that they have scored a major victory, not that they actually scored one.

Very Happy

Seriously, though, I think it's all blue potatoes to the Islamic terrorists. After all, the insurgency (as it was still called back then) didn't stop when Bush was re-elected either....

No, but they certainly didn't see his election as friendly to them either. And what are you doing up in the wee hours of the morning? It's getting late here even.

Probably not. But maybe they thought they'd have to fight with even more fervour, just to show that they could stay the course, too...

Well that's definitely one way to put your own spin on it. Smile

So again, what are you doing up in the wee hours of the morning? I'm getting ready to head for bed here.

Uh, it's been a really long day... thought I might as well have a glance at what's happening at A2K while reading my emails, before heading to bed. Which is what I'm going to do now! G'night!
