9/11 was a tragedy because so many innocent people died.
I find the hypocrisy in the eagerness to nuke Iran by many conservatives repugnant on so many levels.

Perhaps 9/11 was "fun" for those who perpetrated it.

So, just so I get this straight.
The US possesses nuclear warheads.
Iran does not.
The US does not want Iran to possess nukes because the US has deemed Ahmadinejad a madman who will likely use them on a sovereign nation, full, presumably, of innocent civilians.
So, in order to prevent Iran from becoming a nuclear power, you postulate that the US should preemptively turn the entire country into a prism.....innocent civilians and all.
....with a nuke.

Besides, had the proposal considered a preemptive nuclear attack on Iran by the French, the subject title would have read "The French Should Nuke Iran".

You propose that the US should preemptively demolish Iran "because it would be fun".

let's see now :
pakistan already has nukes , pakistan is also a haven for terrorists that move between pakistan and afghanistan - quite freely it seems - ;
so might it be advisable to 'nuke' pakistan ?
wouldn't it be like killing two birds with one stone :
- knocking out pakistan's nuclear facilities and
- telling pakistan's to keep the terrorists on their side of the border .

that all sounds so simple to me , probably much too easy to actually consider it .
(just so nobody will misinterpret the above : i'ts of course a very bad and very cruel joke).
