nimh makes fatal error and takes any Possum post as if it came fro a rational nearly normal sane humanoid. shame on nimh.

McGentrix- Isn't it clear to you that Dyslexia is dyslexic. He would not have named himself thus if he were not afflicted with the problem of having a primary reading disability. Therefore, McGentrix, be merciful to him. He is a disabled person and needs our compassion!!!

Yes, I read the post-Nimh--and the real value says- Keltic Wizard is campaign contributions and volunteers.

Now, did you read my post? I wrote that only 7.5% of the private working force is UNIONIZED and that the rest comes mainly from teachers unions whose members make so much money that most of them do not want to be around the great unwashed and do not have sympathy for the left wing liberal Michael Moore types!

Do you know, Nimh, that the election in November will revolved around TURNOUT and NOT number of people registered or number of people polled?

The typical Democrat voter is much lazier and unmotivated than the typical Republican voter in Connecticut.

Are you aware that the Connecticut Median salary is one of the highest in the United States? Do you think that those people are going to vote for a newcomer who will, if he is elected, raise their taxes to give to the "canaille"?

Yes, thats why I referred to Keltic's post. He already pointed out that the import of having union support is not some appeal it has to the overall population (since only a small minority is unionised and the unions dont enjoy high confidence ratings) - but to the manpower and resources they lend to a campaign. So yes, your numbers are correct, but they change nothing about the point Keltic made about why having union support is such good news for Lamont.

I'm willing to bet that Lamont will actually do better in the wealthier part of the state than in the more working class parts.

What's hilarious is that Bernard was the one who brought up the importance of union endorsements in this thread, after reading about that rally in New Haven of a few unions for Lieberman.

Now that a lot of the big unions are coming out for Lamont, he's pounding away here about how inconsequential union support is.

He claims to read my post, yet has no answer for the fact that union support means not only financial support, but something even more valuable-many volunteers to man the phones, knock on doors and distribute campaign literature in shopping centers and downtown areas.

His hastily contrived synopsis about Connecticut being too rich to vote for a liberal can be disposed of by an examination of the voting records of Connecticut Republicans in Congress-Christopher Shays, Nancy Johnson, Rob Simmons-who vote liberal about half the time, according to the American Conservative Union. Remember-these are Connecticut's Republicans we are talking about.

That's very nice of you, Dys.

It's so much more polite than printing them out on soft, absorbent rolls to be used in the bathroom.

"Please don't squeze the McGentrix posts". Very Happy

I know, for a fact, that Dys uses McGintrix's posts to line Fred's bird cage. Makes Fred sleep more and gives him an appropriate poop mat.

Yes, but Dyslexia is dyslexic. That is almost as bad as having had a terrible myocardial infarction and needing stents in your heart arteries!
