@BillRM,
"Old mother country?" Over 60% were American born citizens, and another third were legal aliens. It was a time when Japanese who were not born in this country were not allowed to become citizens of this country because of ignorant people like you who were in control of our government.

You are one ignorant bastard who's trying hard to smudge the Japanese Americans of this country, but that's because you are too ignorant to know that Japanese Americans served our country with honor while their families were in concentration camps in this country.

Japanese Americans have become one of the most successful in this country even though we still have racial bigots like you!

@BillRM,
Bill, You are ignorant; not one Japanese American was charged with espionage. Those of us who were put into concentration camps were never charged with a crime. You just don't understand what our Constitution is all about, but that's your problem, not mine. Innocent Japanese Americans were killed by the US military soldiers that guarded our camps, and not because they broke any laws, but because they got too close to the barbed wire fence or talked back to the soldier.

You haven't proved any Japanese American was charged with espionage during the war. Show me proof.

@cicerone imposter,
There are always spies in any group except by your claims the Japanese Americans who have not one spy!

How silly can you be.

Second we have no protection for the west coast from a full scale Japanese attack and invasion and we have a large percent of our war plants on the West Coast.

Given the above with a large population who loyalty could only be guess at you do what you need to do for the security of the country.

The only problem I had with the government is the day that the war was over the Japanese Americans should had been made whole as far as that was possible to do and not to wait forty years or so and then give a token amount to the survivors.

But then I live in the real universe not so fantasy universe.

@BillRM,
The war time transcripts you are talking about has to do with Japanese of Japan war crimes; it's not about Japanese Americans.

My siblings and I are third generation Americans; we were born and reared in the US, and we have no attachment to Japan in any way, shape or form except for some cultural carryovers that many Americans bring to the US from their ancestral land.

Quit making yourself into a stupid ass; you've already shown you're a racial bigot and totally ignorant. I'm Japanese American, not Japanese of Japan.

@cicerone imposter,
Would you please please point out where I stated that most or even the overwhelming percent of Japanese Americans was not loyal to the US or did not serve as well or better then the generation population of the time?

Telling the truth that it was not 100 percent is somehow hateful or racist in some manner is that your silly position?

@cicerone imposter,
Let me give you a little clue; I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company straight out of college. I worked as a field auditor for 3.5 years after which they promoted me to Audit Manager. Florsheim was an international company and was a Jewish-run company. I worked in management for the rest of my short working career and retired early.

The only place I call home is the US of A. There is nothing I can do about the atrocities committed by Japan - nor of Germany when they exterminated six million Jews.

I have no guilt for either of those country's atrocities.

I was a mere child during WWII.

And once more you are attacking claims I never issue and refused to address the matter at hand.

Where did I state that anyone in the camps had been charge with a crime. Please point that out to me!!

Where did I state that any Japanese American was charge with spying once more please point that out to me.

You see and read what you care to see and to read and it have no connection to the real universe or at least very little.

@cicerone imposter,
The magic transcripts have to do with non US citizen, first generation, and second-generation citizens.

And why would it surprise anyone that a few persons in a large population decided to side with the old mother country?

In the American Revolution a fairly large percent of the total population side with England at the time and that is normal human reaction.

Except for the Japanese Americans that was 100 percent loyal and how silly can you be to try to claim that as a fact!

You didn't, but I'm trying to show you that our government has put us into prison without charging us with any crime. You're trying to tell me Japanese Americans were guilty of espionage, but I see no evidence from you. You probably don't understand the irony.

You're now reversing your statement? Do you know what a contradiction is?
Where did I state that any Japanese American was charge with spying once more please point that out to me.
Why do you continue to bring up The magic transcripts have to do with non US citizen, first generation, and second-generation citizens. as if there's some kind of relationship between non-citizens and the Japanese Americans. Why do you even bring that up except to misinform?
You see and read what you care to see and to read and it have no connection to the real universe or at least very little.
Your universe seems to imply things that are not true. If my reading has no connection to the real universe, please point them out to me?

Then per your statement about the Pals, shouldnt some of them have become terrorists or spies?

After all, that is why you claim the Pals use terrorism.

Innuendos again; what has that got to do with Japanese Americans?

Bill, YOu have a mental block on relationships. What the Japanese government did does not affect me; I was a child during WWII.

@Walter Hinteler,
Pollard gave info to an ally. It is a big difference.

The Nazis had spies almost everywhere. The USA hung a few during the war.

@Foofie,
That Walter brought in Pollard to the discussion is very telling about Walter. Maybe he shares with the Nazis the distaste for Jews.

Japan's wartime spy program
The case of Velvalee Dickinson, a nonethnic Japanese woman who was involved in a Japanese spy ring, contributed to heightening American apprehensions.[27] The most widely reported examples of espionage and treason were those of the Tachibana spy ring and the Niihau Incident. The Tachibana spy ring was a group of Japanese nationals who were arrested shortly before the Pearl Harbor attack and were deported.[28] The Niihau Incident occurred just after the Pearl Harbor attack, when two Japanese Americans on Niihau freed a captured Japanese pilot and assisted him in his attack on Native Hawaiians there. Despite this incident taking place in Hawaii, the Territorial Governor rejected calls for wholesale internment of Japanese Americans there.

Gee, how does this relate to anything? You're talking about Japanese nationals; whereas we had American Jews spying for Russia.

Is this too spacial for you? LOL

What is wrong with you? The subject is was was there spy rings or not during WW2 that contain a few disloyal Japanese Americans! Not the Japanese government or any blame place on you or the vast majority of Japanese Americans at the time.
