@McTag,
I wager you cannot give any examples of Israelis murdering jounalists and others to silence them. However, you got your anti-Israel blood libels in, and that is what counts.
@Advocate,
Who are you calling anti-Israel? I'm anti-criminal behaviour.
Journalists have been obstructed: peacekeepers and unarmed international protestors murdered.
I expect you can find your own links. It's been well reported in the British papers at least.

Are you talking about the same newspapers that cover the latest minutia about the royals? I listen to the BBC world coverage; nothing on that news that I heard.
It is nice to know you are anti-criminal behaviour, since Britain is filled with hooligans at so many soccer matches. Charity begins at home, as the saying goes.
@McTag,
I didn't think you could back up your statements. Referring to British rags reminds me of Bush's reference with regard to yellow cake.
@McTag,
US papers are afraid to say anything negative about Israel, and that's the reason most Americans support Israel, because our politicians do - even Barack Obama. Most are ignorant about Israel's "democracy," because all the politicians who speak in support of Israel call it a "democracy," and our (only) "friend" in the Middle East.
If they were honest, they would call Israel a
apartheid state with no legal property rights for Palestinians.
@Advocate,
I can back them up. I merely invited you to do your own donkey work.
I suspect you already have seen this information, you merely choose to ignore it. "None so blind as those who will not see".
On the wider issue, I am sure that the visionary, gifted and dedicated people who brought about the inception of the State of Israel would be horrified and dismayed to see what it has become, and what it stands for now.
@cicerone imposter,
You are too funny. Somehow the American media are ignorant of the true, and awful, nature of Israel, but that you are a true expert on it.
The media do not cover these awful things (e.g., apartheid nation), because they know these are false and unsupportable allegations.
I guess you will be finally satisfied when the Muslim terrorists finally manage to nuke Israel.
You, and your fellow Israel haters, are disgusting lying bastards.

You have lost all common sense; nobody here has ever expressed such an idea as you have described.
Here's a YouTube film on Israel's Apartheid Wall:

You are deaf and dumb about the state of Israel - even when presented with evidence. When are you going to become a human being?
Israel is a Jewish State and wants to remain a Jewish state. Israeli Jews do not want the non-Israeli Palestinian Arabs to destroy their state. The great majority of the Israeli Palestinian Arabs are happier to live in Israel than outside of Israel despite the fact that Israel is a Jewish state. To regain Palestinian territory stolen by the Israelis, the Palestinian Arabs must first show they are willing to be aggressive in stopping the Palestinian Arab terrorist attacks on Israel by the Palestinian Arab terrorists living among them.
General Secretary of the UN calls Israel an apartheid state, and should be recognized as such.

Don't be too harsh with Cicerone Imposter. It is well known that he has severe brain damage from his time in the concentration camp in California. Maybe he had an Israeli guard.
A careful analysis of the legality of Israel's ability to defend itself:
Justification for Israel’s retaliation in Gaza against Hamas rocket attacks rests on two well accepted international political and legal norms.
Firstly, Israel is morally justified in waging war against Hamas in Gaza if regard is had to the jus ad bellum (justice of war) doctrine, promoted by American academics Michael Walzer and James Turner Johnson, which justifies a state’s actions for waging war against another state or political entity. The just war doctrine morally permits a state to go to war where there is just cause (such as acting out of necessity in self defence) and war is waged with proper authority, as a last resort, proportionately and for peaceful ends. Israel insists that the attacks on Hamas targets in Gaza are in self defence, as a consequence of recent Hamas rocket attacks on nearby Israeli villages and the attacks of suicide bombers in Israeli towns and cities. Israel’s justification is that its military response is intended to have the effect of disarming Hamas and its ability to attack Israel, thereby bringing about an end to the threat it faces. The fact that attacks on Israel by Hezbollah have diminished since Israel’s war with Hezbollah in 2006, creates a political precedent for Israel which supports its current action against Hamas.
Secondly, Israel is further justified in its actions in Gaza, if Article 51 of the United Nations Charter is taken into account. Although a Hamas controlled Gaza is not a legally recognised nation-state under international law, if it was, then under Article 51 of the UN Charter, Israel would be entitled to act in self-defence against such an entity as it has. Israel’s response to date is also consistent with the 1996 advisory opinion of the International Court of Justice, on the Legality of the Threat or Use of Nuclear Weapons, which acknowledged a state’s right to act in self-defence under Article 51 of the UN Charter, provided of course its actions complied with the legal doctrines of necessity and proportionality.
@Brand X,
Visited that place in Israel where the bible says will be Armageddon.

@Advocate,
Quote:One of the attractions to Israel of the West Bank is the water it contains. Israel controls the water when it occupies the land, and has industrial drilling and pumping capability.
Here is an article of yesterday, citing a World Bank report which states that Israel is taking 80% of the available water for itself.
http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2009/may/27/israel-palestinian-water-dispute
I note you would rather malign the balanced and reasonable c.i. than comment about the water situation on the West Bank.
I see that the Israelis are pumping the water out from under the Palestinians, then selling it back to them.
@McTag,
That, McTag, I am sure, will be handled by the UN and Israel will be punished but is it not true that the Isrealis need the water to put out the fires started by the daily launching of rockets by the fanatic Hamas?
