After seeing how I'm doing so far, please follow the rules and DON'T count my picks. Thanks.

Can we just discuss kicky's tardiness here?

Those who are tardy will not get fruit cup.

Actually, it doesn't matter to me in terms of play. Whatever's easier re the stats.

3-5 in the first 8 games. I only picked correctly on the ones with comments -- I guess I need to editorialize more.

This is brutal. Red ink all over the A2K NFL control room. It reminds me of the 2000 dot.com collapse when people who had money didn't bother to open their monthly brokerage firm statements. It was too depressing.

Through the 8 early games there are only 2 players above water. Chiso has a stunning record of 6-2 and Child of the Light is at 5-3, Liontamer is at 4-4.
It goes downhill from there with a bunch of folks at 3-5. At 2-6 are Johnboy, Region and George and at 1-7 are Jespah, Tico and Fbaezer.
Kicky(don't throw me in the briar patch)can got his wish. His picks were too late to be included. He would be at 3-5.

Johnny, I'm stopping in to see you this winter, probably around mid February.

Make sure your store has some sort of discount going on during that time.

If gus is going to Charlottesville, I'm going too. I can look for real estate while I'm there since it will be too cold to do much hiking.

The last time we had any meaningful exchange of thoughts, Gus, was when I called you a poopy head and you called me a bastard and said you hated me.
Now you announce you are coming to C'ville in February. Hmm. I keep waiting for the punchline to that.
Perhaps you are coming to challenge me to some sort of duel at sunrise for having insulted you. Fine, but I am not really a morning person. Does later in the day work, if that is what you are suggesting? Have your people contact my people. Thanks.

So the late games are over, and it doesn't get much better for most of us.

Chiso is having an amazing week. 9-2. He will win the week, regardless of the outcomes of the last two games. Child is at 7-4 but has the same picks, so can't gain any ground in the last two games. The rest of us: LOSERS.

Desolation row.

I found the Giants and Steelers particularly irritating... where were they when I picked them...

Next week, I'm going with the shorter name of the two. It can hardly get any worse.

Good. I watched the Texans get their @$$ kicked, but at least it was by my second favorite team.

Finds cap she bought in Chicago in May, wears it around the house...

It doesn't say Bears, just Chicago, but still, maybe it'll help.
