Yamamoto's death so demoralized the Japanese that they proceeded to launch Kamikaze attacks.

I don't think so. Walter's tone is obviously one of concern for a fellow poster.

I have not read any posts by Mr. Walter Hinteler which could be said to have concern for any poster in any way. Do you have a link?

Yes, blue veined. but if you read my post carefully and then read Mr. Walter Hinteler, you will find that his outburst( in violation of the TOS, of course) concerning my mental health( which even you are smart enough to know cannot be measured on these threads) comes from his pique when I mentioned the 11% unemployment in Germany and the fact that some think that the government model of Socialism in Germany is leading the country to economic disaster. I think Mr. Walter Hinteler is rather thin skinned on such a subject--But it is true--the Unemployment rate is 11%. You would think, blueveined, that a country filled with brilliant and hard working people like Mr. Walter Hinteler would never have 11% Unemployment. In a future post, I will tell you why they have 11% Unemployment. It has to do with their socialistic outlook which provides for the workers but screws up the entrepreneurs.

Yeah, you wouldn't think so, would you? However, at least the civilian death rate in Germany seems to be pleasantly low. In fact, the homicide rate in Washington, DC is more than 32 times that of Germany. Or 3,200% higher. Amazing. Who would have thought so?

You realize, old europe, that changing the subject is a TOS violation. And, bluevein, pointing that out is also a violation of TOS. I won't mention the post above that has 75 words in one sentence. I am reporting all of you.
I won't report the lady from Schenectady who has taken to e-mailing me with pie recipes (true story). I'll start posting them here this weekend.

Old Europe- Certainly, the death rates from crime in Germany is very low.
Since the USA has brutalized African-Americans and kept them in ghettos because of the racism of Caucasians, the death rate for people who are desperate is certainly going to be very high.

At any rate, Old Europe, The USA is undergoing its blood lust now. Germany had its blood lust between 1937 and 1944.

Civilian death rates can be caused by a variety of forces:

a. Military Action

b. Insurrection

c. Demoralization of a minority group

d. Killing people in concentration camps

BernardR, I think he meant which one of your options is our problem:

a. Military Action

b. Insurrection

c. Demoralization of a minority group

d. Killing people in concentration camps

I think it would be option c, since none of the others work. To be more specific, I would say just maybe LBJ's Great Society is an example of what might have something to do with it. Take away the need to work, and the pride of accomplishment and achieving is also taken away. Also, through welfare programs, women in the inner cities found out it was more profitable to have children without husbands and stable families. Then the family unit started falling apart big time. No need for men anymore. No need for marriage. So what is left for them to do besides sell drugs, form gangs, and kill each other?

Rep. Steve King, a Republican from Iowa, apologized to Helen Thomas on Wednesday for disparaging comments he made about the veteran White House correspondent.

[...]

Last Saturday, Rep. King, while discussing the death of terrorist leader Abu Musab al-Zarqawi at the state Republican convention, said, "What occurred to me that morning is something that I imagine a lot of you have thought about and he's probably figured it out by now. There probably are not 72 virgins in the hell he's at and if there are, they probably all look like Helen Thomas."

The remark drew wide laughter and applause.

That was a very mean thing that Rep. King said about Ms. Helen Thomas. She can't help it if she is unremediably ugly. She did not choose to be ugly. She can't even help it if she is Lebanese and bends over backwards to report favorably on the Palestinian morons who have gone into Israel to kill innocents in suicide bombings on buses and in restaurants.

I am happy that Mr. King apologized!!!!
