How does ros know a thing like that?

With tectonic movements and land going up and down in unimaginable periods of time it is distinctly possible that the water covered all the land at some point.

How can that be disputed?

"How many years can a mountain exist before it is washed to the sea?"

ros thinks science is what he understands it is.

Would it be too much to ask you to provide some specific examples?

Are you implying that the bible isn't full of bigotry (and lots of other nasty ****) just because he hasn't listed an example?
I take issue with what you would presume to label bigotry. But my main reason for asking was to see if dazza had done homework on his own or was just spewing hearsay.

Lots of spewing on these fora, I've noticed

@neologist,
Yes, trolls, no matter what side they are on are prone to nothing but spewing -- the same stuff Linda Blair slimed everyone with in "The Exorcist."

@neologist,
Not LW.

He's been trolling all over Latest Challemges to Evolution recently. Not responding to challenges, blurting his previously known position, again, and even giving the company a tour of his persomal itinerary around the bars, restaurants and beaches of California. And all in his most abjectly trite college literary style.

@Lightwizard,
So now these scientific poseurs are claiming a fact is a whine.

LW majored in Trollology. He accuses others of the disorder in order to deny his being saturated with it.

He knows nothing of significance about either The Bible or Science. His presence here is trolling.

I went back and reread the thread. You may be correct in your assumption.

Looking at that it struck me that you might like Henry Miller's World of Lawrence.

It is very relevant to this thread as well.

I would like to see a discussion of science and the Bible.

If there are other issues of science vs. Bible I have not mentioned feel free to bring them up. A few things off the top of my head;

Stars
Virgin birth
Full body resurrection

What is is about Stars that you wanted to discuss?

Yeh, the bible doesn't say anything about them. Why is that?

@rosborne979,
They might as well have mentioned them -- nearly everything else was made up, but I'm assuming one of God's powers is not seeing into the future (obviously).
So many limitations for deities, other than poofing the Universe into existence.

@Lightwizard,
You have powers know fact from fiction? You think that God wrote the bible?

Could you explain exactly how the universe came into existence?
