Fight the U.N. Gun Ban

Dear Fellow American,

This 4th of July, while you and your family celebrate the 230th Anniversary of the founding of our great nation, there's one party you won't be invited to...

...And that's the party that Kofi Annan is throwing at United Nations headquarters in New York -- using your tax dollars -- for nearly fifty dictatorships, six terrorist states, governments that endorse execution based on religious faith, and a multitude of other nations from around the globe.

You see, this party isn't to honor your freedoms -- but to conspire to take them away.

Over our July 4th holiday, on American soil, they are preparing to enact a legally-binding treaty that would give the U.N. unchallengeable power to ban civilian ownership of ALL firearms.

That means your rifles, your shotguns and your handguns. AND YOUR FREEDOM!

To learn what you can do to stop the U.N.'s global gun ban treaty-before it destroys our Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms visit www.stopungunban.org.

Just as a handful of patriots fired the "shot heard 'round the world" at Concord Bridge, it's up to you and me and every patriot who cherishes our Bill of Rights to tell the world today that our nation will not be bullied by the U.N.

Thank you for acting today.

Throw 'em out, and drop out. This organization has been financed with U.S. tax dollars since its inception, and all it does it feed off of the money and try to kill the host. F--- 'em.

Odd, such an extensive website about the threat of this global gun ban treaty, a dozen webpages at least -- and it doesnt actually seem to have a single link to the actual text of said proposed ban. Don't those NRA members want to check out for themselves what the text actually says?

It seems that LaPierre is in support of criminals based on the what this treaty does.

So, you all think the U.N. has no intention of trying to disarm the USA? That's a laugh...

Kick 'em out. Worthless creeps.

Try reading the UN treaty when you sober up cj..

you might find it isn't even close to what you desperately want to think it is.

The treaty states very specifically it does NOT cover guns legally manufactured under laws of the state in which they are manufactured.

It ONLY covers guns ILLEGALLY manufactured and shipped.

Quote:
(d) "Illicit manufacturing" shall mean the manufacturing or assembly of
firearms, their parts and components or ammunition:
(i) From parts and components illicitly trafficked;

(ii) Without a licence or authorization from a competent authority of the
State Party where the manufacture or assembly takes place; or
(iii) Without marking the firearms at the time of manufacture, in accordance
with article 8 of this Protocol;
Licensing or authorization of the manufacture of parts and components shall be in
accordance with domestic law;

The US has laws concerning gun manufacturing. Manufacturers in the US that don't follow US laws are already subject to criminal penalties.

What makes you think the NRA lets little facts like that get in the way of stirring up fear?

Like the UN is going to actually demand that we close our firearm factories, and they are just going to lock the doors because of this treaty. Right.

The treaty is simply another useless gun grabbing law. We already have plenty of gun laws on the books. Just enforce them, don't make more in a kneejerk fashion. The corrupt U.N. filled with middle eastern and African nations would love to occupy the U.S. It would be their crowning achievement.

They already have agents and apologists of the UN right here in the US. Most of them are members of this board. To subvert the sovereignty of the US is their main aim.

Well, if most of those perfidious UN agents and apologists are members of our very own A2K, which has all of 50,000 members of whom only a fraction regularly posts, it's not much of an operation is it? Theyre never gonna conquer America that way ... :wink:

Please point to the part of the treaty that does what you keep claiming. I can't find it.

The treaty is to prevent ILLEGAL gun manufacturing and transportation.

Do you want gun laws enforced or not? First you decry a treaty that would fight ILLEGAL trading of weapons internationally then you demand we enforce our laws here. Either you support enforcement of EXISTING laws or not. Gun manufacturers in the US that comply with US law are not subject to this treaty. Do you support smuggling of illegal weapons into the US? It appears you do.

I think you are so blinded you don't want to read the treaty or even try to understand it.

I am curious how being party to a treaty "subverts" US sovereignty.

The constitution gives the government the power to make treaties. The constitution gives treaties signed and ratified the power of law. We are NOT subject to treaties we haven't ratified.

Are you arguing that the US didn't properly ratify the treaty? That would be the ONLY way our sovereignty could be undermined.

Parados, do you know how much all that paper is worth when the blue hats are in your neighborhood, taking away your property? Elect Billary, embrace the U.N., and it'll happen. Sure as **** stinks.

I read the UN document. It is obviously intended as a step towards confiscation of all privately held firearms. You don't need to be Rhodes Scholar to figure that out.

What is up with Australia and gun control anyway? It's painfully obvious from hanging around A2K that those folks need to swim with the jellyfish more often.
